This work aims to elaborate and to present some proposals for classroom activities about fractals to be used in Mathematic classes or for being developed as a project, working with non-University students. To reach this goal, which is highlighted in the last chapter, three previous chapters are introduced.
First - presents the concept of Fractal as afixed point of a Iterated Function System.

This work aims to elaborate and to present some proposals for classroom activities about fractals to be used in Mathematic classes or for being developed as a project, working with non-University students. To reach this goal, which is highlighted in the last chapter, three previous chapters are introduced.
First - presents the concept of Fractal as afixed point of a Iterated Function System.
Second - relies on the concept of Fractal Dimension, in particular in the definition of both the Hausdorff Dimension and the BoxCounting Dimension, being the first created from the Caratheodory Measure Theory.
Third - includes a compilation of possible applications of the Fractal Geometry in order to emphasize the importance that this geometry has been gaining due to its vast utility and applicability in various areas of knowledge. In the last chapter it is presented a collection of classroom activities, which pretend to take the pupil into the concept of Fractal and into the study of some properties of some particular cases. At the same time, it is intended that the students deep their knowledge about the importance of the Fractal Geometry in the current world. Whenever possible, the contents of the current Portuguese official learning programmes of Mathematics were pointed out in a way that they can be worked in parallel with the Fractal Geometry concepts.
