The Yonge North York Office Sector Forum co-hosted by the Yonge North York BIA and the City of Toronto Economic Development & Culture took place today at the North York Civic Centre. This networking event brought together office property leaders, asset managers, flagship office tenants, and key stakeholders from across the district to discuss the future of Yonge North York / North York Centre as a major employment and office hub. Participants explored current market trends, economic conditions, workplace expectations, and the opportunities/challenges impacting the local office sector. Through collaborative roundtable discussions, attendees shared valuable insights on strengthening competitiveness, improving the employee experience, supporting investment attraction, and shaping the long-term future of our Yonge North York district. The discussions also focused on identifying practical next steps, including potential near-term initiatives, policy directions, incentives, and strategies that can help support a thriving and resilient office market in Yonge North York. We look forward to continuing to foster the economic development of our office sector with our partners at the City of Toronto. A special thank-you to Councillor Lily Cheng for attending and her advocacy of revitalizing our local office sector. We would also like to recognize Yonge North York BIA Board Members who joined us and participated in the roundtable discussions: Jeff Oulahen, Mark Salvarinas, Olena Svistolnikova, Ph.D., and Edward Skira, alongside the Yonge North York BIA staff team: Laura Burnham, Domenic Imbesi, Laura Dang, and Deneille Daniel-Thorne, and City staff leading this initiative, including John Alderdice, Julia Rigato, Tyson Ma, Patrick Tobin, Clare Barnett, Stephen Gardiner and Evan Sinclair. We are committed to establishing Yonge North York as the location of premiere choice for office tenants, their workers and their clients. #YongeNorthYork #OfficeSector #EconomicDevelopment #CommercialRealEstate #NorthYorkCentre #CityBuilding #OfficeMarket #BusinessCommunity #TransitOrientedDevelopment #LiveWorkPlay #TorontoBusiness #UrbanGrowth
