Appreciate the mention from Derek Ho following NovaForge’s Capital Without Dilution session during Toronto Tech Week. For AI and deep-tech companies, growth depends on more than product development. It also depends on capital strategy, ecosystem support, and thoughtful global market-entry pathways.

Important conversation for AI and technology companies thinking about capital readiness, non-dilutive funding, global expansion, and long-term execution. Our CEO, Brian Armstrong, will be attending Capital Without Dilution during Toronto Tech Week. https://lnkd.in/eU4DvYGP

The real value is often in the fundamentals underneath the headline. That is true in all venture capital funders. It is equally true for founders thinking about capital, runway, execution and timing. For AI and technology companies, the stronger question is not only: “How much can we raise?” It is: “What capital architecture allows us to build, validate, commercialize, expand internationally and protect shareholder value at the same time?” From my vantage point as CEO of Vosyn, non-dilutive capital should not be treated as a side program or an afterthought. It can be a core part of investor readiness. Grants, SR&ED, IRAP, pilot funding, export support, commercialization programs, jurisdictional partnerships and institutional pathways do not replace equity. Used properly, they can make equity more powerful. - They can extend runway. - They can validate technical and commercial milestones. - They can reduce financing pressure.
- They can support market entry. - They can help founders enter investor conversations with evidence, not just ambition. But the discipline matters. Capital access is not the same as capital readiness. The best founders do not chase every program. They sequence capital around execution, governance, commercial traction, market timing & the next investor-grade milestone. This is especially important for Canadian AI and technology companies. We have an opportunity to connect North American governance, global market access, public/private support and expansion pathways into a more intelligent growth strategy. That is why I’ll be attending Capital Without Dilution: The Global Incentive Stack for AI & Tech Growth during Toronto Tech Week This is not a conversation about avoiding equity. It is a conversation about using the full capital stack responsibly, so founders can build with more discipline, preserve optionality and create stronger long-term enterprise value. For founders, investors, funders, advisors and AI/tech operators thinking beyond the next cheque, this should be a worthwhile room. Details: https://luma.com/le804uri For anyone in my network where this is genuinely relevant, code TORONTOWEEK40 is available for 40% off. If you know a founder, funder, advisor or investor who should be thinking more deliberately about capital readiness and cross-border growth, feel free to pass this along. Date: Thursday, May 28th at Office146 Inc. A message can reach the right people and still fail. Not because it was ignored. Because it was not understood clearly enough to act on. That matters in healthcare. It matters in education. It matters in public safety. It matters in financial access. It matters in global business. Access does not end when information is delivered. It only starts to matter when people can understand it, trust it, and use it. That is why language access should not be treated as a final layer. It is part of the system itself. Where do you see the biggest gap: public services, healthcare, education, or business communication? #LanguageAccess #DigitalInclusion #Localization #AIForGood #Communication #Vosyn

Last time, we asked where unclear communication creates the highest risk in healthcare. One answer starts here: understanding the next step. The nurse explained the instruction. But what happens if the patient does not fully understand what to do after leaving the clinic? A medicine dose. A discharge paper. A follow-up visit. An emergency warning. Each one can affect what happens next. For someone receiving care in a language they do not fully understand, the right guidance can still become unclear. That is why language access is part of healthcare access. Care works when people can understand, trust, and act. Where is unclear communication most risky in healthcare: medication, discharge, consent, or emergency care? #Vosyn #HealthForAll #LanguageAccess #DigitalInclusion #HealthcareAccess

Global partnerships do not always fail loudly. Sometimes they fail in the meeting. The researcher understands the local problem. The community leader knows why the last solution failed. The founder sees the gap because they live close to it. But if the room only works for the most fluent voices, that knowledge can get left behind. Language access is not just about communication. It affects whose expertise is heard, trusted, and carried into the final decision. How much local knowledge gets missed when collaboration only works for the most fluent voices? #GlobalCommunication #LanguageAccess #Localization #DigitalInclusion #ArtificialIntelligence #Vosyn

Clean energy projects do not succeed just because they are built. They succeed when people understand them. A project can have funding. Approvals. Equipment. A timeline. But if the people affected by it do not understand what is changing, trust becomes harder to build. What happens to the land? What happens to the bill? What happens to local jobs? What happens when something goes wrong? These questions matter because adoption depends on understanding. Clean energy needs infrastructure. But it also needs communication people can trust. What matters most in clean energy adoption: technology, funding, trust, or communication? #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #LanguageAccess #Vosyn

    • Graphic about clean energy and communication. The message explains that clean energy projects need community trust and clear language, not only infrastructure.

She wanted to open a savings account. The form was there. The officer was there. The product was available. But every explanation sounded like another risk. Minimum balance. Service fee. Withdrawal limit. Penalty. When financial language is unclear, people do not just miss information. They hesitate. And hesitation matters when the goal is financial inclusion. Access is not only about whether a product exists. It is about whether someone understands it well enough to trust it. If a person cannot understand the terms, fees, or risks, can we really call that financial inclusion? #FinancialInclusion #DigitalInclusion #Fintech #LanguageAccess

The safety manual was there. Printed. Approved. Available. But the worker still had to guess what one instruction meant. That is where safety communication can break down. In multilingual workplaces, the problem is not always missing information. Sometimes the information exists, but not in a form people can understand quickly enough to act. A machine procedure. A chemical label. An emergency step. A hazard warning. If the message is unclear, the risk does not disappear. It moves to the person trying to interpret it under pressure. Should workplace safety be measured by whether instructions were delivered, or whether they were understood? #WorkplaceSafety #IndustrialSafety #Localization #LanguageAccess #Vosyn

    • Graphic about multilingual workplace safety. Text highlights that safety instructions may be available but still misunderstood if workers cannot read them in a language they understand.
