Real property is at a turning point, which became clear at last week’s National Executive Forum on Public Property (NEFPP) | Forum national des cadres en immobilier public’s 2026 National Symposium. Paul Knowlton, Myles Cook, and Shaun Jones, MBA attended and engaged with peers and public property leaders on what’s driving this change, including: • Canadian Construction Association | Association canadienne de la construction, Department of National Defence/Ministère de la défense nationale, and others identified a shift toward more modern, collaborative methods of project delivery. By involving engineering, design, and architecture teams from the start, issues are surfaced earlier and change orders are reduced. • Andy Fillmore, Mayor of Halifax, spoke about the importance of systems design for the next era of real property projects, and in particular, the need to design systems with a bias towards enablement, rather than constraint, to enable faster, more efficient project delivery. • Many industry leaders, including Canadian Forces Housing Agency (CFHA) | Agence de logement des Forces canadiennes (ALFC) and Halifax Regional Municipality, emphasized how clarity and accountability play an important role in enabling decision-making throughout real property projects. All three of these trends are already showing up in our own project conversations. We’ll be tracking them through 2026! #2026NationalSymposium

We’re sponsoring the New Voices Initiative at this year’s Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Annual Conference and Tradeshow in Edmonton (June 4-7). The initiative covers the cost of attendance for municipalities that wouldn’t otherwise be able to send representatives, which means more voices in the room at one of the country’s biggest gatherings of elected officials and municipal staff. Shaun Jones, MBA and David Rotari will be there for the week, connecting with municipal leaders and exploring how we can create more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure together. Looking forward to the conversations. #FCM2026AC

Welcome to Tiree, Erin Blaskie. We’re excited to have you supporting the team over the coming months.
A bit of news to share: I've joined Tiree as their Interim Marketing & Communications Lead, and I couldn't be more excited about it. Tiree is a Canadian project management and advisory firm delivering some of the most complex and significant infrastructure work globally. Twenty-five years of substantive work, built on quality and the strength of relationships, and most of it has been done quietly. The team has ambitious plans for what's next, and I'm looking forward to helping shape (and tell!) that story. A genuine thank you to Mark LeBlanc for the opportunity and the trust. And to Lisa Anderson, who's heading off on maternity leave, thank you for the warm handover, and for entrusting me with a portfolio you've built with such care. Our conversations leading into this have been energizing in the best way, and I am SO ready to hit the ground running. More to come soon! 🎉

This year's theme, From Insight to Impact: Building Resilient Value in Public Property, speaks directly to the work we do every day with public sector clients at the federal, provincial, and municipal level. We're looking forward to substantive conversation with peers, partners, and public property leaders from across the country. Several of our team will be on the ground in Halifax, including Paul Knowlton, VP, Real Property Advisory Services, who will facilitate the panel on regional public property initiatives in Nova Scotia; Shaun Jones, VP, Western Canada; and Myles Cook, Director, Business Development. If you'll be there, we'd welcome the chance to connect. More from our team in the days ahead. National Executive Forum on Public Property (NEFPP) | Forum national des cadres en immobilier public

Joanne Pagani, our VP Project Management, joined CAGBC | Canada Green Building Council on the Hill earlier this week for Green Building Day on The Hill. Taleeb Noormohamed, MP for Vancouver Granville and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, challenged the audience to consider how Canada can become a world leader in green technologies. For our clients making complex real property and capital decisions, the mandates discussed—building performance, decarbonization, climate resiliency—are shaping projects and programs right now. If your organization is working through the same questions, we’d welcome the conversation. #GreenBuilding

National Volunteer Week recognizes the essential contributions of volunteers and their collective impact. To celebrate, we’re highlighting causes that matter to the Tiree team. Learn about fostering cats with Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue alongside Christine Young, welcoming new Canadian citizens with Shawn Kent, MMM, CD, CPP, and raising awareness for ovarian cancer with Wendy Abdallah, PMP. Their volunteer work reflects how service builds stronger, more connected communities. #NVW2026 #IGNITEVOLUNTEERISM

Community isn’t built through a single initiative—it’s built through consistent, often unseen support. The YMCA of the National Capital Region’s work helping individuals access housing and employment, and supporting newcomers as they settle and build new lives, is the kind of impact that extends well beyond any one event. The Y Embassy Chef Showcase brings that community together in a visible way—celebrating culture, connection, and shared experience. We’re proud to support it this evening in Ottawa.
