The Sunset Community

As May comes to a close, we’re looking back on a month filled with conversations, activities, community outings, and plenty of shared moments along the way. Every day looks a little different, and that’s part of what makes community life meaningful. Thanks to everyone who continues to support inclusive spaces where people can connect, participate, and be themselves.

PickleBowl is coming—and it’s all for a great cause! We’re hosting a pickleball tournament fundraiser and every rally, serve, and point played will help us get one step closer to something big: an accessible transit vehicle. This vehicle will open the door to more outings, appointments, and everyday moments that help the people we support stay connected to their community. Want to be part of it? Sometimes getting out into the community can be as simple as running errands, visiting a local shop, grabbing a coffee, or spending time outdoors. Those everyday experiences are part of feeling connected to the place you live and the people around you. It’s often the little things that help build confidence, relationships, and routine.

Get ready for some fun at the Pugwash Pickle Bowl—pickleball, snacks, music, prizes and good vibes all day long! Saturday Sept. 12th, 8am-5pm 140 Sunset Lane, Pugwash The Sunset Community invites you to join us for our first ever Pickleball Tournament, co-hosted by NTPA. This event will be happening as part of our annual Family Fair. Single players or partners can register for one of the following divisions: 2.0-2.75, 3.0-3.5, or 3.75-4.5, each division will be capped at 16 players. Register early to secure your spot! There will be lots of prizes and fun! Players are encouraged to dress in retro theme with the best dressed team winning a prize! Rain date: Sept 13th

At Sunset Community, those moments matter. They’re part of building connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
