KeenTools has released the Open Beta of GeoTracker for Houdini, a fully integrated matchmove solution for object and camera tracking. Now available natively in Houdini, GeoTracker delivers a major workflow upgrade by allowing artists to handle matchmoving tasks entirely in-scene—eliminating the need to switch applications. Built as a native SOP node, it supports both OBJ and Solaris workflows with automatic focal length estimation and zoom tracking. Tracked geometry can be instantly converted into colliders, emitters, or motion drivers for FX pipelines. I’m excited to share a new demo of Houdini AI Assistant v0.1.6. Houdini AI Assistant: https://lnkd.in/dmu3Ex47 This update shows how the assistant can generate real Houdini networks directly from prompts inside Houdini. The workflow is simple: Prompt > Generate Network > Inspect > Refine In this demo I tested: • HDA Architect for procedural sci-fi assets • MaterialX shader generation • USD asset import inside Solaris • Solaris / Karma render setups • Pyro networks • FLIP simulations • RBD destruction setups • Animation Maker for text-guided character motion The goal is to make AI feel more practical inside a real Houdini workflow not as a replacement for the artist, but as a way to speed up the first technical setup stage. AI gives you a starting point faster. The artist keeps control. Most of the examples in this demo were generated using GPT-5.5 / GPT-5.4, with some manual adjustments or error correction where needed. More updates coming soon. Happy to announce that finally, DanTools are ready after a lot of changes, and making sure the tools/HDAs are easy to use and fast. Quick overview: These tools are for Houdini for terrain generation under 5 minutes. Yes, you can generate terrain in 5 minutes! What can these tools do? High-resolution terrain in the USA from 1 meter per pixel, and 10 meter to 30 meter per pixel globally. Very high-resolution satellite maps for the USA. You also get the OSM data. User-friendly: just drag to select your desired area, or use lat/lon or Google Earth coordinates. You can generate splatmaps with Meta's SAM AI segmentation (very cool and easy), or also by Python pixel RGB if you don't like Meta's AI. Another HDA for Houdini to Unity terrain with ease and no manual work. Everything is procedural and automated!
