Today is finals day at the 2026 ACC Self-Driving Car Student Competition, and for the first time, we’re bringing the excitement to a global audience with a livestream. If you’re not in New Orleans for the American Control Conference, you can still be part of the action. The Elimination Round will be streamed live today at 11:00 AM Central Time / 12:00 PM EDT, and the Finals and Award Ceremony will be streamed live today at 5:00 PM Central Time / 6:00 PM EDT. Tomorrow, the ACC Self-Driving Car Student Competition enters Stage 3: the in-person competition at ACC 2026 in New Orleans. After progressing through the earlier rounds, 9 teams remain and will now bring their work to the physical stage, implementing their self-driving algorithms on the QCar 2 and competing live. It’s a great opportunity to see autonomous driving research move from simulation into real-world performance.
