Year-end has been closed for a few weeks now, which means that some businesses may be getting a special notice from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) – a PD4R, also known as the Payroll Discrepancy Report. If you’ve received a PD4R for your business (and even if you haven’t), now’s a great time to learn about what these notices mean, how to proceed with them, and what steps you can take to avoid receiving them in the future (hint: it’s all about the details!). Visit our blog to get these answers and more, at: https://hubs.ly/Q045FWrl0. #CanadianLegislation #PayrollSupport #PayrollSolutions #PayrollResource #CanadianBusiness

Good Friday and Easter Monday are coming up next week, which means your employees have likely started asking you whether or not they get those days off. If you’re unsure what the answer is, we don’t blame you! These particular holidays fall under different legislation from province to province or territory, so it’s difficult to know for sure. That’s why we recommend reviewing our blog to ensure you’re able to answer with confidence when your employees ask “Do we have Easter Monday off?” ➡️https://hubs.ly/Q047bXGG0. #PayrollResources #CanadianBusiness #SME #SmallBusiness #PayrollSupport

The winter season is (mostly) over – which means employees are starting to look to their summer holidays and when they can take time off. For employers, this translates to more time off requests… and if you’re not using a workforce management solution, they can multiply to the point that they’re way too hard to keep track of! With Payworks Absence Management and Self Service solutions, you can safely track, approve (or not!) and ensure compliance for all employee time off requests. We all know that tackling year-end is non-negotiable for Canadian businesses, but let’s be honest – it can take a lot of time and resources! It’s easy to become overwhelmed with the volume of T4s, spreadsheets, and last-minute processing… especially when you feel like you should be focusing on priority business needs instead. That’s where we come in. With our Managed Payroll Services (MPS), we offer affordable, scalable solutions tailored to your organization’s needs. You get professional accuracy, peace of mind for year-end, and the most important thing of all – the time to focus on what your business needs most! Learn more about our MPS options available to you on our blog (https://hubs.ly/Q045FK1c0), and take your year-end time back. #PayrollSolutions #PayrollServices #PayrollResources #Payroll #CanadianBusiness

🌍Tomorrow at 8:30pm local time is Earth Hour: a movement organized by World Wildlife Fund to raise awareness for climate change and nature crises affecting our ecosystems and biodiverse environments. The movement asks businesses and individuals to spend 60 minutes doing something big, small, or in-between that’s positive for our planet! While many at Payworks will be recognizing #EarthHour, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind businesses that you can make change year-round, in a variety of ways. We’re reminded of our crew in Cambridge, who volunteered last September for a day of cleaning up Riverside Park (more on that here: https://hubs.ly/Q0489cGW0) or our Halifax team, who spend a day each year cleaning up our Atlantic coastline (https://hubs.ly/Q0489p-D0). For this Earth Hour, let’s all continue to #PayItForward by “recognizing that even small actions can inspire big change – and give an hour for Earth.” #Connect2Earth #GoGreen #SaveThePlanet

🖥️We had such a wonderful time at the event we hosted for Tech Manitoba’s #ManitobaTechWeek, we had to take one last look back! The panel - “Breaking the Code of Confidence” – provided an inspiring evening for all attendees, who explored what it means to be a woman in tech, and how women can unapologetically show up in these spaces. The networking that followed the panel was just as valuable as the discussion itself, as those who attended were able to meet and forge new friendships and connections across the tech industry in Manitoba. 👥 Thank you to our inspirational host and panelists, to Tech Manitoba for creating the opportunity to host this event, and to all who attended and made it such an impactful evening. #TBT #MBTechWeek2026 #WomenInTech #WomenInStem
