  • This Global Recycling Day we’re shining a spotlight on Mölnlycke’s packaging performance. Did you know that 75% of our packaging is renewable or recycled content and 90% is recyclable? We are working to increase these numbers further. With our suppliers, customers, recyclers and other partners, we are finding new ways to develop recyclable and renewable packaging while also meeting sterilisation, customer, and regulatory requirements.  Learn more about our sustainability roadmap to 2030: https://lnkd.in/gVs8_5fs #GlobalRecyclingDay

  • This World Lymphedema Day, we’re recognizing the impact of lymphedema across Canada. The Canadian Lymphedema Framework estimates that more than 1.25 million Canadians are impacted by lymphedema and chronic edema. That’s the equivalent of 1 in 33 Canadians. Yet many remain undiagnosed and untreated.  Behind those numbers are individuals whose daily lives are affected. 🤝 Together, we can help change this through awareness, early detection and appropriate management.

  • Undisturbed wound healing starts with the right dressing.    To promote undisturbed healing and reduce the need for unnecessary dressing changes, an advanced dressing should offer six key properties.   1. Flexible – Moves naturally with the patient without restricting mobility or pulling on the skin, helping reduce the risk of blistering 2. Secure – Adheres well, even after cleansing or disinfection 3. Absorbent – Manages exudate effectively 4. Protective – Minimizes the risk of blistering or irritation 5. Waterproof – Helps maintain a barrier and allows showering 6. Conformable – Reduces extra space between the dressing and wound Our dressings like Mepilex Border Flex, Mepilex Ag and Mepilex Border Post-op are designed to deliver these benefits, helping patients stay comfortable while their wounds heal. • Recently three patients living in Nova Scotia shared their experiences using Mepilex Border Post-Op and Mepilex Border Post-Op Ag dressings after surgery. Here is what they said: 💬 Corrine from Cape Breton emphasized the extended wear time and protection gave her peace of mind after a mastectomy from advanced breast cancer. Her incisions healed amazingly well, and she was reassured knowing the dressings maintained the right moisture level while also preventing bacteria from entering the wound site. 💬 Kevin from Halifax was impressed with how quickly his scar healed after he underwent two mitral valve repair surgeries just weeks apart. 💬 And Peter from Halifax explained having the ability to shower so shortly after his operation meant he could focus on the other things he needed to do to recover from heart bypass surgery, open heart surgery and a knee replacement. Thank you Corrine, Kevin and Peter for sharing these experiences. Your words reinforce the important role silicone post-op dressings play in improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
