Every instructional designer has had this moment. 😬 How much trust do you really put in “autosave”? Alt text: Cartoon of a worried dinosaur and nervous bunny in an office. A frozen laptop reads “This page is not responding” under the headline “Rise autosaves.” Speech bubbles joke about unsaved changes. #InstructionalDesign #eLearningDevelopment #LearningDesign #ElearningDesign

We’re proud to have partnered with CIFFA on the Development of the CIFFA Accredited Practitioner in Customs (CAPC) Program. Creating strong learning experiences takes more than content, it takes collaboration, structure, and a shared commitment to quality. We’re grateful to the CIFFA team for the partnership and honoured by Petra Javornikova’s kind words about the experience of working together. Here’s to building learning that makes an impact. We’ve all been there… 👀 “Next… next… next… done.” But when learning is built with purpose? You stay engaged. You finish it. You come back for more. At KnowledgeNow, this is where we lead. The KN Method starts with strong design fundamentals because when you get the foundation right, everything else works better. We don’t jump straight to development. We define outcomes, structure the experience, and build with intention so learning performs better, scales faster, and actually sticks. #knowledgenow #learninganddevelopment #KNMethod #Instructionaldesign #training ALT Text: Split image: Left, woman looks frustrated at laptop under text training could have been an email; right, same woman smiling under until its designed to work. Our CEO Amanda Douglas-Young shares the thinking behind how our team approaches every project we take on. If your organization is managing a course library that needs to meet a consistent quality standard, or a project that cannot afford a lengthy revision cycle, we would love to talk about how it applies to your work.
Most eLearning takes too long, costs too much in revision cycles, and still misses the mark on accessibility. Many times the reason is sequencing. Technology gets applied before the instructional foundation is resolved. Accessibility gets added after the build. Structural problems surface late. At KnowledgeNow eLearning Solutions, we built the KN Method with our team of instructional designers, accessibility specialists, and learning technologists to address this directly. Automation handles what does not require instructional design expertise. Our people handle what does. Accessibility and inclusion are built in from the start. Language requirements for English and French are confirmed upfront and built alongside, not after. The result is learning that delivers significantly faster and holds up to quality review at handoff. Swipe through to see how the five phases work. #knowledgenow #LearningAndDevelopment #eLearning #InstructionalDesign #LearningDesign #AccessibleLearning Slide 1 ALT: Title slide with office workspace image and text: Most eLearning takes too long and misses the mark. Nearly 200 accessible courses migrated, branded, graded, and modernized! When Western Continuing Studies needed to migrate and archive their entire course library from Sakai to D2L Brightspace, they didn’t just need a vendor. They needed a partner who understood both the technology and the pedagogy. THE RESULTS: Every course delivered on time A consistent and quality learner experience across the full course library An accessibility standard that Western can now maintain going forward This is what a migration done right looks like. A huge thank you to Karen De Heus and Tanya Filipcic at Western Continuing Studies for trusting us with a project of this scale and for sharing your experience so openly. It was a privilege to work alongside your team. Have you been through an LMS migration? What was your biggest challenge? Drop it in the comments. #LearningAndDevelopment #eLearning #LMSMigration #InstructionalDesign #HigherEducation Image Description:Client testimonial graphic featuring Karen De Heus of Western Continuing Studies describing KnowledgeNow’s Brightspace migration, highlighting consistent, accessible, high-quality online learning.

AI can build a course in minutes. It can't tell you if anyone learned anything. This #AprilFoolsDay, we're raising a flag for every eLearning module that launched fast, looked complete but taught absolutely nothing. ⁉️ Speed is not a learning strategy. ⁉️ Quantity is not quality. ⁉️ And a 96% completion rate means nothing if your team clicked Next 47 times without reading a word. The organizations getting ROI from their training programs aren't cutting instructional designers out of the process. They're using them to make sure the technology actually serves the learner. #InstructionalDesign #CourseDesign #eLearningDevelopment #CorporateTraining

Most organizations have started asking whether AI can build their training and courses. It's an understandable first question. For senior leaders working in a regulated industry, it's important to dig deeper to know when, where and if using AI in your course development makes sense. Here are five questions pulled from our questionnaire to ask before committing to using AI in the learning design process: 1. Who is accountable if AI gets it wrong? 2. How do you verify the content is accurate? 3. Who owns the IP the tool generates? 4. Does the output meet your learner's needs and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards? 5. Does your team have the expertise to know when AI has failed? In regulated industries, the cost of skipping these questions isn't a delayed project. It's a failed audit, a legal exposure, or a safety incident that traces back to a course nobody reviewed properly. 👉 To get the full list of questions type LIST in the comments. #eLearning #LearningDesign #AIinLearning #InstructionalDesign #ComplianceTraining #RegulatedIndustries #AccessibilityCompliance
