The Children and Youth Planning Table has created The Youth Impact Survey, which is open to anyone in Waterloo Region aged 9-18. Your responses will shape the future of Waterloo Region and help decision makers to build a better community for young people. At House of Friendship, we believe that a village and a community are crucial pieces to forming a sustainable path out of homelessness. That’s why we are creating Friendship Village, a hub of resources, wrap around supports, and deeply affordable rent so those experiencing chronic homelessness can connect to the community and build their own village. Did you know our Neighbourhoods program offers after school snacks for kids? House of Friendship, The Gathering Church, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, and The City of Kitchener have partnered to bring students a program called 'Snack Attack' which provides kids with a healthy snack after school. 1 in 10 households receive food assistance in Waterloo Region, with 37% being children. Snack Attack provides kids with stability, knowing they will have an after school snack each day. We are shining a spotlight the Herrle family! We are so grateful for their incredible generosity.
