We are thrilled to share the launch of our inaugural Global Macro Strategy report: Rotation & Resilience, While Risk Emerge (February 2026)! A huge thank you to Professor Nadeem Kassam, CFA, MBA – our Research Lead & Course Director – for guiding this professor-led initiative and to the 14 incredibly talented undergraduate finance students who poured their time, rigour, and insights into producing this institutional-style 27-page report alongside their course load. This first edition dives into some of the most pressing macro developments right now: -U.S. trade policy disruptions. -Geopolitical tensions (including visible stress in private-Israel-Iran dynamics). -Central bank divergence. -Growing risks across equities, fixed income, commodities, FX, and alternatives. Once again, we appreciate the dedication of our team & analyst class: Alyssa Vieira, Davidson Ajay, Sidonia W., Varen Desai, Jay Savani, Abishek Daryanani, Gopal Vasir, Elizaveta Roman, Daksh Singh, Prabhjot Kaur, Adam Jaffar, Haiyun Su, Jiien Suey Liew and Essa Ansari. Proud of our York University Finance community for kicking off what we hope becomes an ongoing, high-impact series. #YorkUniversity #FSA #Finance #StudentResearch #FinanceStudents #GlobalMacroStrategy

Finance Student Association reposted this
It’s been a while since I last posted, but I’m back with a quick highlight ! Last week, I participated in the Finance Student Association x BBSA YorkU Breaking into Finance event. It was my first time being a panelist, so it was a little nerve-wracking, but a great experience overall. It was amazing connecting with students, especially as a York University alum. Walking through Founders College gave me major flashbacks, although I did have to ask for directions (face palm). Anyways, it was great sharing tips for students interested in finance and discussing different do’s and don’ts from a student recruitment perspective. A big thank you to the wonderful team at BBSA YorkU and Finance Student Association at York University for such a well-organized event, and to Davidson Ajay for inviting me to speak. I also learnt a lot from my fellow panelists Nosakhare Atoe, Jason B. Ramsay, Joshua Daniel and Matthew Kelani and was especially reminded of the power and importance of networking and community. That’s it from me. I hope you’re having a great weekend because I definitely am, with Netflix, food, a cozy blanket, and relatively warmer weather (I’ll take -3 over -23 any day). Till next time, take care, byee 😊

Yesterday, Professor Nadeem Kassam, CFA, MBA, Chief Investment Strategist and Chief Operating Officer at Marnoa Private Wealth Counsel, who is also a part of the Advising Committee of the Finance Student Association at York University, spoke on the tariff situation at BNN Bloomberg. We highly recommend that the community reflect on his thoughtful and valuable insights!
Tune in to BNN Bloomberg! Markets moved lower today as Trump’s latest remarks reignited trade tensions, fueling renewed volatility across equities. I joined BNN Bloomberg to break down what’s driving the pullback, how investors can navigate the uncertainty, and shared two of my top Canadian stock picks that I believe are well-positioned in this environment. 🎥 Watch the full segment: Markets fall as Trump’s remarks fuel trade jitters: https://lnkd.in/gFy9xgZB #BNNBloomberg #Markets #Investing #TopPicks #WealthManagement #PortfolioStrategy #MarketVolatility #MarnoaPrivateWealth Marnoa Private Wealth Counsel Ltd.
