A huge thank you to Professor Nadeem Kassam, CFA, MBA – our Research Lead & Course Director – for guiding this professor-led initiative and to the 14 incredibly talented undergraduate finance students who poured their time, rigour, and insights into producing this institutional-style 27-page report alongside their course load. This first edition dives into some of the most pressing macro developments right now: -U.S. trade policy disruptions. -Geopolitical tensions (including visible stress in private-Israel-Iran dynamics). -Central bank divergence. -Growing risks across equities, fixed income, commodities, FX, and alternatives. Earlier this week, the Finance Student Association at York University proudly hosted The Finance Forum, one of our most significant and engaging events of the year. The evening brought together industry professionals, faculty, and aspiring finance students for an insightful discussion on careers in finance, market trends, and the evolving landscape of the industry. From thought-provoking panel discussions to meaningful networking sessions, the event fostered a space for students to gain practical insights and build valuable connections with leaders across the financial sector.
