    Announcing the 2025-2026 project accelerators recipients. This funding will support teams in the development and/or continuation of projects or social ventures centered around specific community needs and innovation. This year teams had the opportunity to apply to eight different project accelerators for a total of $131,500 in funding. Congratulations to all the recipients. Alterna Savings SDG Project Accelerator recipients will deliver innovative social enterprises that address at least one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The Capital Power Powering Change by Changing Power Project Accelerator supports teams with resources needed to create and deliver projects that advance climate action and strengthen the resilience of local communities. The Jeanne Sauvé (Jeanne Sauvé Foundation) Global Project Accelerator recipients will be working to expand their projects outside of Canada and work with another Enactus team from a partner country to broaden their impact. The Jeanne Sauvé (Jeanne Sauvé Foundation) Workplace Inclusion Project Accelerator will help teams to identify, create, and deliver projects promoting accessibility, equity, and inclusion for employees with disabilities. The National Bank (National Bank of Canada) Indigenous Inclusion Project Accelerator empowers teams in promoting the social and economic inclusion of Indigenous peoples and/or entrepreneurs in Canada. PC Financial (President's Choice Financial) has challenged teams to build projects that advance equity by using financial education to build resilience in underserved population through the PC Financial Resilience Project Accelerator. The Ralph M. Barford Equal Access Project Accelerator provides funding to projects that promote equality and access across education, healthcare, environmental justice, food security, housing, and economic opportunity. The RBC Skills for a Thriving Future Project Accelerator supports projects that help all Canadians prepare for a rapidly changing workforce through work readiness skill development. The initiative targets underserved populations, including, but not limited to youth, newcomers, Indigenous and First Nations peoples.

    We're excited to announce that bursary nominations are officially open! This is your opportunity to nominate a deserving student or self-nominate to secure financial support for your education. There are two bursary opportunities open to Enactus students: 🔸 The Founder’s Bursary Program, presented by the John Dobson Foundation, provides 20 student leaders with $2,500 in recognition of their community impact. 🔸 The Whitney Barham Social Justice Bursary awards $2,500 to one student actively promoting social justice. 🗓️ Final Deadline to Submit: November 28 Head to the Awards and Bursaries page on our website to learn more about what each bursary entails and to submit your nomination today!     In collaboration with the Human Resources Student Association and Sheridan Enactus Official, our event, the Sheridan Business Mixer, was a great success and we couldn't be more proud! Over 30 students gathered for an evening of networking, practicing transferrable communications skills and forming new connections. We saw students from different business programs, as well as non-business programs, who all found value in discovering how much the Sheridan community has to offer. It was inspiring to see these students step outside of their circles and their comfort zones, trading handshakes, laughter, stories about their backgrounds and aspirations, and of course, LinkedIn profiles. Thank you to all who attended and a special thank you to our SMS executives and executives from HRSA and Enactus - Sathyangana Fernando, Bassem Zaklama, Aradhna Singh, Hiral Lad, Wedad Rahmatallah - this event would not have been a success without your presence and participation. We can't wait to host more events that bring our Sheridan business community together. Don't worry if you couldn't make it out to this event, we're excited to see you at the next one!

    Last week, we had an incredible opportunity to present to the Board of Governors of Sheridan College. A heartfelt thank you to Mary Vaughan (Provost & Vice President Academic), Karen A. Booth (Associate Dean - Sheridan Pilon School of Business (PSB)) for giving us this opportunity, our faculty advisors Dr Connie Stevens SANE MA and Garrett Hall, for their constant support and guidance to our presenters Drishti Kothari, Sathyangana Fernando, Uttam GS and Gagandeep Kaur who’ve made this possible. We shared who we are, why we do what we do and how Sheridan Enactus Official is building projects that create measurable impact while empowering Sheridan's students to become leaders of change. To stand before the board and speak about the power of student innovation and entrepreneurship is something we’re deeply proud of. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to keep pushing boundaries, reimagining what’s possible and driving real change in our community.

    I Took a Chance on Enactus: My Sheridan Enactus Official Journey 💯 When I first joined Enactus Sheridan, I didn’t know many people. I was just a student looking to get involved, unsure of what to expect. But I dove into managing our website and marketing initiatives, helping shape how we told our story. As an executive member, I ran booths and pop-ups, connecting with students and sharing our mission face-to-face. Competing against over 80 colleges and universities in the Central Canada Regionals Exposition, our team won three out of four projects! A moment that proved what we were capable of. That experience led me to Nationals in Calgary, where I proudly represented Sheridan and met inspiring industry leaders. Now, one year later, I’ve been promoted to VP of Marketing. 🎉 This isn’t just a title, it’s a reflection of how far I’ve come, and how much Enactus Canada has helped me grow. If you’re a Sheridan College student wondering whether to join, do it. You’ll find more than a club.     For 10+ years, Sheridan students have been showcasing their business and problem-solving skills through Enactus, and this year was no exception. At the 2025 Enactus Canada Regionals and National Expositions, the Enactus Sheridan team earned six awards for innovative projects like FinFlare, Uni-verse, Learn2Earn, and Green Friend — tackling critical challenges in financial literacy, youth employment, sustainability, and student housing. With entrepreneurial thinking, empathy and collaboration, these students are turning ideas into real-world impact.
