🗂️ Tidying Up Microsoft Planner? Here’s How to Delete a Plan (the Right Way) Digital workspaces thrive on organization and clarity. But sometimes, projects wrap up, priorities shift, or duplicate plans pile up in Microsoft Planner. When that happens, a little digital housekeeping can go a long way. Here’s how to delete a plan safely and keep your workspace streamlined and efficient 👇 ✅ Understand what’s being deleted: Every plan in Planner is tied to a Microsoft 365 Group including files in SharePoint, emails, and calendars in Outlook. ⚠️ Only Group owners can delete a plan, and once deleted, all related data is permanently removed. Step-by-step: 1️⃣ Open your plan in Microsoft Planner. 2️⃣ Click the plan name or dropdown → select Plan details. 3️⃣ In the General tab, click Delete this plan. OR 4️⃣ In the Group tab, click Delete this group. 💡 Pro tip: Before deleting, export key data to Excel and save it in SharePoint to keep a record of completed work. If you just want to declutter your view choose “Leave plan” instead of deleting it for everyone. A clear Planner means a focused team and a more efficient digital workspace.
