Day 2 at SocialWest brought the kind of energy you can’t quite capture in a recap, but hey, we’ll try anyway. From packed sessions and practical takeaways to coffee-fuelled hallway conversations, sponsor connections, and a few excellent SocialWest throwbacks, today was a reminder of what makes this community so strong. A huge thank you to our speakers, sponsors, partners, and attendees for showing up with curiosity, generosity, and so much good energy. It was truly one for the books. • SocialNext : Montréal, ça arrive bientôt ! Allez-vous nous rejoindre pour cette super conférence bilingue ? - SocialNext: Montréal is only two weeks away! Are you joining us for an awesome and bilingual conference?

Montreal... this is shaping up to be something special. 🔥 Cyberimpact is proud to be part of SocialNext: Montréal this June 10-12 at le Palais des congrès de Montréal And the event is already 70% sold out. 🚀 🏒 Nihal Mandanna C.P. and I will be presenting the workshop “Why Your Email Strategy is Failing (And How to Fix It)” and the conference “Email in the Age of AI: Staying Visible, Relevant, and Trusted,” both with live translation. 🍫 Plus, our Sales Director Mathieu Lapointe and Customer Success Director Frédéric Senterre will be at the booth ready to talk email strategy, marketing growth, and hand out some great Cyberimpact swag. What’s exciting is not just the event lineup. It’s who’s showing up. Mike Morrison was sharing with me the following, over 200 people have registered, including marketers, executives, agencies, and public sector leaders from across Quebec. Of those who shared their role: • 42% are final decision-makers on marketing strategy and budget • 88% influence marketing budgets • 55% manage marketing teams or external agencies • Nearly 1 in 5 oversee budgets of $1M+ • Around 70% are in-house brand marketers And the speaker lineup includes TikTok, Reddit, Inc., Google, Meta, national speakers, and some incredible Quebec experts. I’m especially looking forward to presentations from Alexandra Clouette and Stephanie Bedard, along with the teams from Glowtify, Axeptio.Ca, and HeyOrca, who we’ve had the chance to travel across Canada with over the past year. Safe to say: the conversations are going to be very interesting. If you’re attending, come say hi 👋 We’d love to talk email strategy, AI, deliverability, growth, and what’s actually working right now.

We kicked off Toronto Tech Week by bringing together founders, funders and the content-curious for Clarity Content’s first-ever event, The Founder Signal. I had a blast hosting the panel which covered founder-led content, trust, visibility, content process and what actually makes people pay attention in a noisy feed. It was so good to hear the range of perspectives from Sarah Stockdale, Ahmed Shafik, Sarah Bartnicka and Alaina Booth. For those who weren’t in the sold-out room, we’ll be sharing some takeaways soon. In the meantime, here’s are a few key themes we heard coming up: • Founder stories need relevance, not just origin stories • Trust is built through consistency, voice, and real customer proof • Raw vs polished content isn’t either/or — strategy matters more • The best founder content has a clear point of view • Building visibility takes repetition, courage, and momentum Thank you to our panelists for sharing their experiences and insights. Thanks to everyone who joined us to learn and engage. Big thanks to our event sponsor Cyberimpact, our awesome venue host Orchestra Marketing (appreciate you and your team Jocelyn and Cynthia), our events content crew Conference Media, and the goodies provided by Peak Beverage Co. and Greenhouse plus custom gifts by LUFEMMERA. 📹 Shoutout to Javon who pumped out this video immediately after last night’s event. 📧 Stay tuned for more from this event and subscribe to The Signal, Clarity Content’s newsletter for what you need to know now about content and thought leadership for growth.

  • Do you where your data is hosted? About 1/3 of Canadian orgs don't 👀

Cyberimpact recently ran a survey with randomly selected organizations across Canada, and I was shocked to learn that more than 3️⃣2️⃣% don’t actually know where their data is hosted. In 2026, that’s a serious business risk. Knowing where your data lives is no longer just an IT concern. It impacts every department and directly affects: - Compliance with regulations like Law 25, GDPR, and the upcoming modernization of PIPEDA - Protection against cyber threats and unauthorized access - Business continuity during outages or incidents - Customer trust and transparency The reality is simple: If you don’t know where your data lives, you can’t truly protect it. You can ask our Sales Director, Mathieu Lapointe, or our Customer Success Director, Frédéric Senterre about the number of questions we receive every week from organizations asking about data sovereignty, privacy, and infrastructure transparency. ...And honestly, they should. Where your data is hosted matters. #DataPrivacy #CyberSecurity #DataSovereignty #Law25 #GDPR #PIPEDA #CanadianTech #Compliance #Trust #Cyberimpact

  • Here's some BTS of how we made this year's State of Email Marketing in Canada even better:

This year I became Content Marketing Lead at Cyberimpact and with the new role came the responsibility of handling the biggest content project we have — writing the State of Email Marketing in Canada 2026 (link to download in the comments) I had a personal rule going in: this report CANNOT be something people download and forget about in their downloads folder. So I added 3 new things to this year's edition: - Better content and data organization: Let's be honest—most of us skim reports. So I reorganized the benchmarks pages to share the national average, industry average AND the top five performing industries for each metric. (And marketers are naturally curious people, we want ALL the numbers.) - An internal case study: We pulled data from 700+ newsletters we've sent ourselves to find the best day and time to send emails and all the results are there. Real data, real stakes. - A whole new strategy section: Theorizing solutions is fun, but answers are better. 😇  This new section literally breaks down email strategy by industry — automated sequences, content ideas, how to organize your contacts in a way that's practical and not overwhelming. The kind of stuff you can actually act on right away. Honestly, I think it worked because in less than a month we're almost hitting last year's download count! 🎉
