Canada’s SR&ED reforms take effect tomorrow, marking one of the most significant updates to the program in more than a decade. In a new perspective, CCI’s Director of Federal Affairs, Daniel Perry, argues the changes reflect years of advocacy from Canadian innovators and a growing recognition that support programs need to better match how companies actually build, invest, and scale. The reforms move in the right direction by reducing complexity, improving predictability, and expanding eligibility.
