Cogneeto is an educational technology company launched out from the Advanced Learning Technologies Lab at the University of Toronto. We utilize a Science of Learning approach, which recognizes that learning is cross disciplinary and requires the use of different methods from various fields to understand how learning works. Our innovations both enhance learning opportunities by supporting the development of transferable skills like critical thinking, creativity, and communication, and they also measure and assess the development of these skills. Our primary web-application is peerScholar, an award winning peer- and self-assessment tool that was created and built upon scientific theory and was later experimentally validated in the classroom. Today, peerScholar is being used in over 60 institutions across 6 countries, and has positively impacted well over 200,000 students worldwide.
