🌟 Meet Brantley. 🌟 At 11 years old, Brantley already understands the power of feeling supported. “The staff respect and care about me.” At BGC Ottawa, that sense of belonging helps young people build confidence and begin to imagine what’s possible. When Brantley is at the Club, he feels understood, and that’s helping to shape his future. One day, he hopes to become a judge or a teacher. Significant progress has been made at SOM Hall over the past few weeks. The construction team is nearing completion of interior and exterior insulation, storage room wall panelling is now finished, and installation of siding and the metal roof is underway. We were also excited to see BGC Ottawa Board Member Steve Barkhouse on site, contributing firsthand to the project. Thank you, Steve, for your continued support in revitalizing this important space at Camp Smitty. We look forward to sharing more updates as the project advances. #CampSmitty #BGCOttawa

Brave Space at BGC Ottawa is a weekly program designed to foster inclusion, self-expression and social-emotional growth among youth aged 11–18. Through guided discussions, creative activities and peer connection, participants build confidence, empathy and a stronger sense of belonging.
