The Control Room + Security Operations Technology Showcase in Calgary has officially wrapped up. Thank you to Applied Electronics Limited for bringing together a strong group of partners, panelists, and attendees for a practical conversation around the future of integrated control rooms. And thank you to everyone who spent time with our team during the event. Across the showcase, attendees were able to see how different layers of the control room come together: Video wall technology and visualization systems from Barco. Camera and video technologies from Hanwha Vision. Operational analytics and video intelligence from Providius. Network resilience from Extreme Networks. Security and operations platforms from Genetec. Control room console design from Tresco Industries Ltd. The panel discussion reinforced an important point: Modern control rooms are becoming more connected, more data-driven, and more mission-critical. But integration only creates value when it supports the operator. Dashboards, video systems, security platforms, analytics, communications, and operational data all need to come together in a way that helps teams monitor, interpret, and respond without adding unnecessary complexity. That is where the physical control room environment matters. The console is where the operator meets the technology.
