📣Notice of Appointment Carbon Upcycling is pleased to announce the appointment of Markus Kritzler to Chief Executive Officer to lead the company’s commercialization across North America and Europe. Markus brings over two decades of strategic leadership and executive experience in the building materials and financial sectors to his new role. Since joining Carbon Upcycling in spring 2025 as Chief Revenue Officer, Markus has led the development of the company’s project pipeline and guided the company as it constructs its flagship commercial project. He succeeds co-founder Apoorv Sinha, who assumes the role of President, focusing on investor engagement, external relations, technology development, and advancing the company’s long-term strategy and direction. 2025 was a momentous year for Carbon Upcycling, marking the transition from technology validation to full-scale execution. Our latest US$18M funding round, led by Builders Vision, accelerated the construction of our first commercial facility at the Ash Grove Mississauga Cement Plant and advanced engineering for our second and third projects. As we enter the second half of the decade, we are guided by our target to deploy 5 million tonnes of clean cementitious capacity annually over the next five years. This is CURA’s first private capital raise and reflects strong confidence in our approach to delivering truly low-carbon cement products. Amplify’s deep expertise in climate tech and impact investing paired with  Zacua’s unparalleled reach across the global construction and heavy-materials ecosystem, make them ideal partners as we accelerate into this next phase. 🚀 With this investment, CURA can expedite our efforts toward:  • building our 100-tonne-per-year pilot, • expanding our technical team, and • delivering low-carbon cement samples to early customers and partners. Ultimately, these funds help bring us closer to our mission of making cement decarbonization real — and scalable — today. With our retrofit-ready process using standard limestone, we are working directly with global cement producers to help them meet their net-zero commitments.
