In recent months, much of the conversation around Aduro has focused on Hydrochemolytic™️ Technology for the chemical recycling of waste plastics and the upgrading of bitumen and highly paraffinic crudes. A new peer-reviewed paper brings renewed attention to another area of Aduro research: renewable oils. Published in Sustainable Energy & Fuels, the study examines the thermocatalytic conversion of fatty acids and renewable oils into aromatic hydrocarbons, including BTEX, using a MoOx/HZSM-5 catalyst in a continuous fixed-bed reactor — without added molecular hydrogen. For Aduro, this work is important because it supports the broader technical foundation behind our renewables upgrading research. It explores pathways for transforming renewable oils and waste-derived lipid feedstocks into higher-value fuels and chemical intermediates, while continuing to build scientific depth around applications that complement Aduro’s patent-backed chemistry portfolio. From chemical recycling of waste plastics to bitumen and highly paraffinic crude upgrading to renewable chemistry, the common thread is clear: applying specific chemistry to lower-value feedstocks and creating pathways to more useful materials. The paper was co-authored by Satyam Dixit and Craig P., PhD students at Western University, together with Professor Paul A. Charpentier of Western University’s Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. Aduro contributors include Marcus Trygstad, Principal Scientist; Anil Jhawar, Chief Scientist; and Birendra Adhikari, Head of R&D. At Plastics Recycling LATAM 2026 in Mexico City, Abe Dyck and Humberto Parra are connecting with stakeholders across Latin America’s plastics recycling value chain. Abe presented on translating pilot-scale operating data into FOAK industrial design, including progress from our NGP Pilot Plant operating campaigns, feedstock evaluation, and the engineering and lifecycle work required for industrial deployment. Our participation builds on Aduro’s multi-year collaboration with ECOCE, A.C. and the continued evaluation of chemical recycling pathways for post-consumer films and flexible packaging in Mexico. #CleanTech #EcoInnovation #PlasticRecyclingLATAM #PlasticRecycling #ChemicalRecycling #CircularEconomy

♻️ #Ontario pioneered curbside recycling with the #BlueBox. Now, Ontario’s shift to producer responsibility, unified collection rules, and clearer recovery targets is helping shape the next stage of #PlasticsCircularity. Our latest blog looks at how this reform fits within a broader Canadian and global shift toward clearer standards, better material flows, and circular feedstock for new plastics. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eRkZCkfB #PlasticRecycling #CircularEconomy #CleanTech #EcoInnovation Canada Plastics Pact, Circular Materials, Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, U.S. Plastics Pact

The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada, along with Aduro’s Abe Dyck, joined MPPs at #QueensPark this week, including MPP Andrea Khanjin, for discussions on Ontario’s chemistry and plastics sectors, investment, supply chains, and plastics circularity. The conversation focused on how #Ontario can support practical circular economy solutions while strengthening the manufacturing base that enables everything from recycling and packaging to automotive, construction, healthcare, and clean technology. For Aduro, these discussions are an important part of engaging with industry and policy stakeholders as we continue advancing Hydrochemolytic™ Technology and its potential role in turning difficult-to-recycle plastics into valuable feedstock. #CleanTech #EcoInnovation
I met with the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada to discuss how clearer rules, faster approvals, and stronger support for plastic circularity can help attract investment, protect supply chains, and keep Ontario competitive. Cutting unnecessary barriers is how we create the conditions for more jobs, more innovation, and less waste.

Recent bench-scale testing with Uinta Basin wax crude showed promising reductions in wax content, producing crude that remained stable at ambient conditions. Today, we announce that Aduro has joined the Utah Petroleum Association – a membership that brings us closer to producers, refiners, and midstream operators across Utah’s Uinta Basin – where paraffinic crude production presents long-standing transport and refinery compatibility challenges. As we advance our petroleum applications program, this membership gives us a direct channel to engage with industry and evaluate how Hydrochemolytic™ Technology may fit within existing production, transport, and processing infrastructure. 👉 Read the full release: https://lnkd.in/eX2_zSfa #CleanTech #HeavyCrude
