Canada's largest union of professional performers.
About us
ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) is the national union of professional performers working in recorded media in Canada. ACTRA represents the interests of over 28,000 members across the country – the foundation of Canada’s highly acclaimed professional performing community. ACTRA’s mission is to provide its performers with a place of strength and safety they are proud to call home. As such, we focus on achieving two main goals: build on our experience in negotiating some of the best collective agreements in the world for our performers; and further ACTRA’s role as a leading advocate for Canadian culture. As a member-run organization, the elected leaders from within the ACTRA membership create policy, which ACTRA staff are responsible for administering through its day-to-day operations.
