Every week there’s a new “smart” device, your mirror gives you life advice, your fridge tracks your emotions, and your bed connects to AWS (until AWS goes down, and… well, good luck getting up 😅).   But here’s the thing: AI doesn’t need to be on everything. Sometimes, what we call “innovation” is just unnecessary complexity with security holes.   Recent reports like The Guardian coverage (https://lnkd.in/eigFDdBT) revealed vulnerabilities in AI browsers and shadow AI systems, where sensitive data can be leaked, intercepted, or even manipulated.   And as companies rush to add “AI” to every product label, cybersecurity often becomes an afterthought. Poor implementation, lack of encryption, and open integrations create the perfect storm for data breaches, especially when models process sensitive personal information.   That’s why today’s AI professional needs more than data science or prompt engineering skills, they need a deep understanding of security architecture. Because an “AI-powered” device that doesn’t protect its users is not smart, it’s dangerous. AI makes sense when it amplifies human capability, not when it just adds risk. Implementações ruins, falta de criptografia e integrações abertas criam um cenário perigoso de vazamentos e ataques.   Por isso, o profissional de IA de hoje precisa entender mais do que prompts, precisa dominar arquitetura de segurança. Porque um dispositivo “com IA” que não protege o usuário não é inteligente, é perigoso.   IA faz sentido quando amplia o humano, não quando adiciona risco.
