A milestone for our global production network: We've officially inaugurated the expansion of our tire plant in Rayong, Thailand. With an investment of more than 300 million euros, we are increasing our annual production capacity by an additional 3 million passenger car and light truck tires – and creating 600 new jobs in the Rayong province. The expansion also marks the start of local radial motorcycle tire production, enabling us to respond faster to changing market demands across the region. "Our Rayong tire plant is a vital pillar of our global production network. With this expansion, we are further strengthening our footprint in Asia-Pacific to deliver locally produced premium car and motorcycle tires to our customers," said our CEO Christian Koetz. • Biodiversity is declining around the world, as highlighted in the UN’s Global Environment Outlook for 2025. To mark today's #InternationalDayforBiodiversity and this year’s theme “Acting locally for a global impact,” we want to share two local projects that are helping to restore ecosystems and create diverse habitats for pollinators. Both initiatives have one common goal: protecting biodiversity where we live and work. A big thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves to make all this happen. Mangrove reforestation in Rayong, Thailand: During Environment Week, more than 180 volunteers from our Rayong site – employees and their families – planted over 700 mangrove saplings. Mangrove ecosystems are vital for coastal protection and local livelihoods, but they have suffered significant damage in recent years. To support ongoing restoration efforts, the team also donated 100 shovels to the Rayong Coastal Resources Center. Wildflower meadows across Germany with Artenglück: Together with our partner Artenglück, we have created over 200,000 m² of wildflower meadows at 37 locations across Germany. Using regional seed mixes, these meadows provide habitats for bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

  • More than 2 million tons of production material go into our tire production every year. With that scale comes responsibility - not only for performance and safety, but also for where these materials come from and how they are sourced. In 2025, we increased the share of renewable and recycled production materials used in our tire production from 26.0% to 28.1%. An important milestone on our journey toward reaching 40% by 2030. But what does that actually mean? A modern tire can contain up to 100 different raw materials, many of which remain essential for safety, durability and performance. Together with our suppliers, we’re continuously exploring and scaling renewable and recycled materials across our portfolio. Some of these sources might surprise you: used cooking oil transformed into synthetic rubber, agricultural by-products like rice husk ash used as fillers, recycled PET bottles and recovered steel turned into reinforcements, and carbon black recovered from end-of-life tires - to name just a few. No matter the source, every material undergoes rigorous testing - because safety is non-negotiable. Every percentage point reflects measurable progress, and we’re committed to increasing the share of renewable and recycled materials year after year.

What's our recipe for success? 🏆 In a speech, our CEO Christian Koetz shared the four key ingredients behind Continental’s winning formula. A mix that's as carefully balanced as the compounds in our tires: ✔ Top technology – with ultra-high-performance (UHP) tires of 18 inches and above leading the way for SUVs and EVs ✔ State-of-the-art manufacturing – more than 14,000 different products produced across our 19 tire plants worldwide ✔ Efficient distribution – over 90% of our tire orders in Europe delivered the very next day ✔ A strong brand – powered by a committed team, with podium placements in more than 80% of expert tests across all three world regions last year As Christian put it: " We are looking to the future with confidence." For us, it all comes down to contact: the contact our tires have with the road and the contact we at Continental have with our customers and teams.

  • Responsibly sourcing natural rubber starts literally at the source. The global natural rubber supply chain is highly fragmented and complex, making transparency and sustainability a shared challenge across the entire industry. That´s why we’ve been working closely with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since 2018 on a project in Borneo, Indonesia – engaging directly with local stakeholders to make natural rubber sourcing more responsible. Together, we’re making real impact on the ground: 🤝 Training smallholder farmers on sustainable cultivation practices 🌳 Improving rubber quality while strengthening local livelihoods 📱 Increasing transparency through digital technologies along a traditionally fragmented supply chain

Did you know that up to 100 different raw materials go into making a single tire? At the heart of it all is natural rubber – harvested from the latex of the rubber tree and transformed into a high-performance product. But natural rubber alone doesn't make a tire. It needs the right "recipe," as our CEO Christian Koetz explains: carbon black, silica and many other components, carefully balanced to unlock the full potential of this remarkable material. Depending on the tire type, natural rubber makes up 10% to 20% of a passenger car tire and up to 40% of a truck tire – delivering the strength, flexibility and durability that keep the world moving. And how we source it matters just as much as how we process it: Learn more: https://ow.ly/AcjU50YXzJm
