This file contains the BodyChan and BodyKun models by @vinchau, updated with latest features of Rigify and my feature set:
There also the following non-rig changes:
The file should work in Blender 3.0, but generating the rigs requires 3.1 alpha and my feature set (sub-addon for Rigify). The customized metarig in this file is most similar to the BodyIK/BodyIK Advanced Human metarig provided by the feature set.
Sorry for my begginer question, bu how can i use this rig to animate my own characters? I tried to find the actual bones, but no success. Thank you for this sublime work.
These rigs has helped me on my school assignments, I hope you can continue working on this
Issue with the added actions is that when using bodychan-bodyik-pose the other action wont perform proper;y, probably some props not resetting. Not sure which ones they are though
Funny you mention all the Blender rigging details, it reminded me of how I look for ways to unwind after long modeling sessions. I ended up checking out spinmama and tried some online casino games while taking a break from tweaking IK rigs. At first, I just spun a few slots to pass the time, but the Mega Wheel and table games quickly grabbed my attention. I even hit a small winning streak that had me laughing. It’s become a fun way to relax and take a break from complex animation work.
This is an incredibly detailed feature set! The specialized Knee/Elbow IK and the Blenrig-style spine show a real focus on complex, low-to-the-ground poses. I can immediately see how useful the Center of Mass indicator would be for dynamic actions. This level of control is essential if you want to animate a perfectly balanced, high-level move like an orbit kick. Great work on the updated Rigify features!
I was just told by my animation tutor yesterday that it's an important feature to have IK for the knees and elbows. Downloading your set and the 3.1 beta. So I can add that extra controllability to my own characters. Thank you for your contribution.
