You can deform an object non-destructively using the Lattice Modifier. This allows you to manipulate the shape of your object without permanently altering its geometry. By adjusting the control points of a Lattice that surrounds your object, you can stretch, squash, or bend it in precise ways while keeping the original mesh intact.

To do that, first add some subdivision to your object's mesh

Add Subdivision to Object's mesh

With your object selected, add a Lattice Modifier via menu Add > Lattice > Lattice Deform Selected.

Add Lattice Modifier

This will automatically add a Lattice Object matching the dimensions of your selected object. With the Lattice Object selected, go to its Object Data Properties and increase the resolution to suit your needs.

Add resolution to Lattice Object

Enable Proportional Editing and set Falloff to Sharp. Enter Edit Mode on the Lattice object, select the corner points

Set Proportional Editing Sharp

Scale the selected points outward. For example, you can press S then Y to scale onalong the Y axis-axis. Because you're using Proportional Editing, you can adjust the falloff area with the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the circle of influence as needed.
