Simplifying your path to actionable data with enhanced Star Reports
Your favorite Star Assessments reports now offer even more flexibility and clarity, helping you quickly turn data into action. Renaissance is excited to share several report enhancements designed to save time and make it easier to see the data you need, when you need it—whether you’re tracking growth, reviewing accessible accommodations, or sharing insights with caregivers.
Here’s what’s new:
Growth Proficiency Chart: View multiple classes at once
No more switching back and forth! You can now select and view data for multiple classes within the same school, making it easier to compare growth and proficiency trends across classrooms. Learn more about the Growth Proficiency Chart, an interactive, intuitive report that allows you to view both proficiency and growth in one place.

Benchmark score intervals now consistent across Star Reports
To help educators more clearly interpret student performance, the color bar that defines each benchmark segment (Urgent Intervention, Intervention, On Watch, and At/Above Benchmark) is now shown on the Star Instructional Planning and Star Family reports, in addition to the Star Diagnostic Report. This added precision makes it easier to see exactly where a student falls within a performance band and to communicate progress and next steps consistently across reports.
Detailed information about defining benchmarks in Star computer adaptive tests can be found in this article.

Accommodations Report: Extended time now included
The Accommodations Report provides visibility into the accommodations enabled for every student. Extended Time is now included alongside other available accommodations, helping educators ensure appropriate testing conditions are in place to help remove barriers and allow students to demonstrate their true abilities.

Star Screening Report: All grades, one overall view
Do you work with students in different grades? If organizing these students into benchmark categories requires manual calculations, the new summary section in the Star Screening Report streamlines the process. It displays the percentage of students within benchmark categories across multiple grades, so you can see performance at a glance. Learn more about the Star Screening Report.

Star CAT + Star CBM Caregiver Report: Math insights now included
Last year, we introduced the Star CAT + Star CBM Caregiver Report for Star Reading assessments. We are excited to share that the Star CAT + Star CBM Caregiver Report now includes data from Star Math, Star Matemáticas, and Star CBM Math—providing a complete picture of students’ math performance and growth.
These reports, accessible via the Reports icon (shown below), are available in both English and Spanish and include useful terms to know and activities to support learning at home. You’ll also have the option to download the report in a CSV file, giving you the flexibility to analyze results, track trends, or combine data with other reports.
Please note that the Star CAT + CBM Caregiver Report cannot be generated until a district administrator defines the district report settings.
