Claes Retail Group, the Belgian fashion group behind JBC, CKS Fashion and Mayerline Brussels, has decided to centralise its logistics activities with Paxon, part of Bnode. Operations will gradually move to a new distribution centre in Beringen, Belgium. By choosing a specialised 3PL partner, Claes Retail Group strengthens its logistics model to support speed, scalability and future growth. Continuity remains a key priority. Around 50 logistics employees will be offered the opportunity to transfer to Paxon, ensuring that valuable expertise and experience are retained. “As the retail landscape evolves rapidly, logistics expertise and speed have become essential,” says Bart Claes, CEO of Claes Retail Group. This month, Nicole celebrates nineteen years at Radial Inc., which is becoming Paxon. She currently works as Senior Manager Fulfillment Services in Kentucky, where she oversees daily operations and supports the teams responsible for getting orders out the door safely and on time. Her journey began on the operational floor as a Wave Planner. Over the years, she grew through several roles, steadily building hands on experience across planning, execution and people management. Over the years, Nicole’s role evolved alongside customer expectations, from speed and accuracy to reliable performance at scale, giving her firsthand insight into how fulfillment operations continuously adapt to meet changing demands. In her current role, she is responsible for the day to day performance of the site, with a strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency and people development. By creating a stable and well organised working environment, teams can perform consistently even during peak periods. This directly benefits customers through reliable fulfillment and ensures end consumers receive their orders as promised. Every day, Heidemarie helps make cross-border delivery feel seamless, connecting sellers and consumers across Eurasia. As Network Director, she plays a key role in shaping the delivery routes and partner ecosystem behind Landmark Global and other Bnode entities. From selecting the right delivery partners to defining how parcels move in and out of countries, she ensures our routes stays reliable and scalable as volumes and customer expectations evolve. Her work directly supports ecommerce players: clearer access to international markets, predictable delivery options, and fewer surprises along the way. Recently, Heidemarie contributed to opening new international gateways and developing shipping routes to support growth in key markets such as Spain and Canada. She also worked on complex cross-border setups for major international customers, bridging commercial ambitions with operational realities on the ground. Outside of work, she enjoys beach volleyball and padel, and loves spending time in the sun with family and friends. Her guilty pleasure? Manuel Olberding has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer for Paxon and he will report to Dr. Rainer Kiefer Kiefer, CEO Paxon Europe and Staci Americas. He brings more than twenty years of international commercial experience in logistics and supply chain, with leadership roles at OIA Global, Maersk and DB Schenker. Laurent has been Purchasing and Category Manager Wholesale Services at AMP since 2024, where he helps shape AMP’s wholesale offer beyond press distribution. AMP is historically a specialist in press distribution in Belgium. Over time, its activities have expanded to non press products such as toys, accessories, multimedia and licensed merchandise. This offer is developed for a broad range of retail partners across Belgium, including newsagents, retail networks and even Bpost, with the aim of increasing store attractiveness and revenue per visit while offering consumers a more engaging in store experience. In practice, Laurent develops the non press assortment end to end. He identifies relevant categories, negotiates with brands and builds a balanced range for more than 3500 points of sale. By introducing well known merchandise brands, retail partners benefit from stronger margins and impulse purchases, while end consumers discover familiar and accessible products during everyday visits. Marcial works as Product Owner within ICT Logistics and Operations at Bnode. In this role, he is responsible for a key digital capability that supports the planning and coordination of daily delivery routes of parcels, letters and newspapers. While the tool is currently used within Bpost, Marcial’s work is part of a wider Bnode ambition to develop robust digital foundations that support operational reliability across our entities. In practice, Marcial focuses on turning operational complexity into predictable execution. He works closely with planners and operational teams to ensure last mile routes are planned consistently, changes are managed clearly and information is shared in real time. By reducing last minute changes and manual corrections, delivery teams gain more control over daily execution. For ecommerce brands, this means more reliable delivery performance at scale and fewer exceptions that affect the end-customer experience. What Marcial appreciates most is seeing how small improvements in digital tools can make a real difference in daily operations.
