Two months into mandatory e-invoicing in Belgium; it's time for an honest conversation. Compliance is no longer the question. Control is. Peppol is live, and structured invoices are flowing. But has it truly strengthened your finance operating model, or has it exposed hybrid invoice flows, duplicate channels, limited visibility, and structural AP inefficiencies? Structured e-invoicing standardizes the message, but it does not standardize your process. Belgium moved early, and other countries are following. Across Europe, mandates are accelerating, and the first lessons are already clear.
