We're heading to Fintech Meetup at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, March 30 to April 1 🇺🇸 One of fintech's most productive events, bringing together 1,000+ CEOs & Founders and 700+ financial institutions building the next wave of Embedded Finance and Open Banking. We’ll be there meeting teams who want to ship integrations faster, without the overhead of custom builds and ongoing maintenance. Apideck gives you a single API to connect 200+ Accounting, ERP, and other platforms and go live in days, not months. Embedded Finance and Open Banking are moving fast, and we've been tracking them closely in our Open Banking Tracker. With Open Accounting emerging as the next frontier, there's a lot happening in this space. If your team is looking to embed integrations faster, 📥 DM Gertjan "GJ" De Wilde to book time at the event.

AI agents now write more integration code than developers do. That shift changes everything about how APIs should be designed. For 15 years, developer experience meant optimizing for a human at a terminal. That model is no longer complete. In 2024, bot traffic exceeded human traffic for the first time. In early 2025, AI agent API traffic surged another 49%. Most APIs weren't built for this. And the gaps are costing adoption. The good news: fixing it doesn't require a rebuild. It requires intention. Five principles every API team should act on now: 1. Write OpenAPI descriptions that agents can actually parse 2. Make error responses self-explanatory; agents don't want to Google 3. Support auth flows that don't require a browser 4. Publish /llms.txt so agents know what to read 5. Invest in MCP after building the foundation first 6. Design your CLI for agents. It’s having a second wave On that last point: CLIs are native to the terminal, and so are agents. A well-designed CLI with clear --help output might cost ~80 tokens to prompt. By contrast, an MCP server can burn 55,000+ tokens before an agent even reads its first message. The implication is simple: tight, predictable interfaces win. DX was about removing friction for humans. AX applies that same discipline to autonomous agents. ➡️ Swipe through for the full breakdown.

Heading to AIBoomi (formerly SaaSBoomi) Annual '26 in Chennai tomorrow (March 19-20). I work on unified APIs at Apideck, connecting accounting, CRM, HRIS, and file storage systems through a single integration layer. Lately, I've been deep in MCP server integrations and how AI agents actually talk to real business tools. If you're at the conference and want to talk about any of this, come find me: ⋅ AI agents + MCP integrations ⋅ API strategy for SaaS products ⋅ DevRel and developer experience ⋅ Open source growth (built Resume Matcher, 26K+ GitHub stars) ⋅ GTM for developer tools Not attending? I'll be posting my takes from sessions here. Drop a comment on what topics you want covered.

At Apideck, we saved a customer, Roopairs, 40 engineering hours in a single integration. That's a full work week. Recovered. Spent on actual product work instead of reading QuickBooks API docs at 11pm. They needed a Quickbooks Online integration. Their options were: Spend months building it in-house, or ship it in days using a unified API. They chose fast. 40 hours saved. 30 customers live on day one. Now they're expanding to Sage Intacct and NetSuite, without spending more development resources, without hiring an extra engineer. This is what most SaaS teams get wrong about accounting integrations. They treat it like a one-time build. It's not. Every integration you build in-house is a recurring tax on your engineering team, 300+ hours a year in maintenance, API changes, broken OAuth tokens, and 2am alerts when month-end sync fails. The teams winning in fintech and vertical SaaS aren't building every integration from scratch. They're buying back engineering time and pointing it at their core product. 40 hours is just where it starts. ✅

  • 👋 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 Today, we’re introducing Javier García Gómez, Connector Engineer at Apideck. Javier joined Apideck in 2022 and has been growing with the team ever since. As an Integration Engineer and Node.js Developer, he focuses on API mapping, designing data flows, and building scalable integration components that power seamless communication between systems. His work centers around Node.js, TypeScript, and OpenAPI, with a strong focus on performance and reliability. Before Apideck, Javier gained early experience in frontend and full-stack development, working with Angular, React, Cypress, and Java across ERP and real-world application projects. Interestingly, Javier’s background isn’t purely technical. Earlier in his career, he served as General Director of Legislation and Regulations for the Government of Yucatán, coordinating over 2,000 regulatory initiatives. That leadership and systems-thinking mindset clearly shows in how he approaches architecture and integration challenges today. From public policy to production-grade APIs, Javier brings a unique perspective to the Connector team, and we’re excited to have him building the future of integrations with us 🚀

🇧🇪 België bouwt straffe SaaS bedrijven. Mooi om daar met Apideck deel van uit te maken. (Artikel in het Nederlands) 5 jaar geleden liep ik bij Beatswitch zelf vast op integraties. Elke nieuwe koppeling was maatwerk. Traag. Complex. • 𝗛𝗼𝘄 Derive 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝟳𝟬% 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗘𝗥𝗣 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 When your product depends on real-time ERP and accounting data for procurement and accounts payable automation, integrations aren’t optional; they are the product. That’s exactly the problem Derive's team faced: they needed deep ERP support from SMB tools like Xero all the way up to enterprise systems like Workday. Instead of spending months building and maintaining native connectors, Derive chose Apideck’s Unified API. CTO Kogulan Ledanan said Apideck’s performance and compliance-friendly no-caching policy were key differentiators. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱:  • Go-live with Xero in just 3 weeks. Full production.   • Workday Finance launched in under 90 days with help from the Apideck team.   • They even shipped a Jira Service Management integration in 2 weeks for workflow automation. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁: Derive reduced development time by 70%, accelerated sales cycles, and opened simultaneous mid-market and enterprise GTM paths, all without engineers wasting time on OAuth tokens, edge case handling, or API quirks. As Kogulan puts it: “𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘱𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.” ➡️ If your roadmap depends on broad, reliable ERP/accounting integrations without draining dev resources, this is the playbook worth stealing: https://lnkd.in/eyCXSaFN
