Collaborating for positive impact through responsible sourcing

About us

AIM-PROGRESS is a a global initiative of consumer goods manufacturers and suppliers with the aim to enable and promote responsible sourcing practices and sustainable production systems. It is supported and sponsored by AIM in Europe. Our key objectives include: - Share learnings and best practices regarding responsible sourcing especially those focused on human rights with respect to supply chains through our different work streams. - Leverage synergies and support an effective collaboration and potential convergence with other likeminded global initiatives. - Develop and promote the use of common evaluation methods to determine CSR performance within the supply chain - Drive efficiencies for all companies by collecting, assessing, and sharing non-competitive information on supply chain social compliance performance. - Help develop and promote responsible sourcing practices within the supply chain. Reduce audit fatigue for suppliers by encouraging them to share their audit reports with many customers to avoid duplicate audits. "An audit for one is an audit for all". About our activities: AIM-PROGRESS has four Working Groups on Living Wage/Income, Responsible Recruitment and Forced Labour, Grievance Mechanism, and Impact Measurement. In addition, it also has two Work streams on Mutual Recognition and Capability Building as well as two regional hubs in APAC and Africa. For more information: AIM-Progress is open to any manufacturer or supplier who meets the membership criteria with the exception of companies from the arms and tobacco sectors.

  • 📣 Fresh from the innovation forums Responsible Sourcing and Ethical Trade Forum, one message rang loud and clear for us: data is the key to unlocking better supply chains, stronger human rights decisions, and meaningful industry-wide progress. 🤝 So we're doing what we do best — bringing our members together to share best practice and identify collaborative opportunities. Over the coming weeks, we're launching a series of member-only sharing and consultation sessions with three world-class assessment and risk-data platforms: Sedex, EiQ by LRQA, and EcoVadis. 💻 These partners — trusted by so many of our member companies — are bringing powerful trend data spanning key geographies, critical topics, and commodities. This isn't just numbers on a page; it's the intelligence your business needs to make bold, informed decisions on human rights and unlock the true potential of collaborative impact. 🚀 📆 First up: LRQA on 21 April. Don't miss out — keep an eye on your member emails for everything you need to know. Data with purpose. Let's make it count. 🌍 Collaborative impact isn't just a phrase at AIM-Progress — it's everything we do. Innovation Forum Meghan Quinlan Emilia Colman

Since 2023, we have worked closely with our members and partners to strengthen understanding and awareness of child and forced labour risks in manufacturing in the United States 🤝 Partnership is essential to driving meaningful change in this space—no single company can address these challenges alone. 📚 Equally important is building capability across organisations. We are pleased to share that one of our partners has developed a summary of available resources to support companies, suppliers, service providers, and labour providers in the US – many of which are public. 🛠️ These resources are designed to help organisations: ✨ Upskill teams 🏗️ Strengthen management systems 🔗 Enhance partnerships to support effective remediation 🔎 You can explore LRQA’s new summary of US resources, which includes: 📘 Verité Child Labour Training - developed with AIM-Progress https://lnkd.in/eDe9zgc9 📗 Our Child Labour Remediation Framework https://lnkd.in/digvmRWW 📊 Our Research into US civil society child laour remediation capability https://lnkd.in/digvmRWW Both developed with the The Centre for Child Rights and Business 🔒 We also offer additional member-only resources. Announcing our The Sustainable Procurement Pledge World Sustainable Procurement Day session: “The Power of Procurement: for Human Rights and Climate Action” 📅 25 March 2026, 17:00 CET If you’re sitting in a procurement role right now, you’ll recognise this: You’re being asked to deliver on carbon. You’re being asked to demonstrate human rights due diligence. And your suppliers are being asked for everything, all at once. The question is how to make this workable - without creating noise, friction, or fatigue across the supply base. I’ll be moderating a panel of practitioners who are dealing with exactly this challenge in real time: Maxfield Weiss (CIPS - The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), Harry Aldwinckle (Tetra Pak), Adélaïde Cipagauta (IFF) with the expert support of my SPP Human Right Chapter co-chair Louise Herring (AIM-Progress & Inherently Human). Together, we’ll get into the realities of what happens when these agendas collide — and how #procurement can respond in a way that is structured, credible and actually deliverable. We’ll cover questions many teams are grappling with right now: - Why climate and human rights still operate in silos — and what’s driving the shift to bring them together - What happens commercially and operationally when multiple demands hit suppliers simultaneously — and how to manage that without damaging relationships - What leading procurement teams are doing differently — and where they are already seeing traction We’ll also share practical examples — including how initiatives like AIM-Progress are enabling more joined-up due diligence, rather than layering request on request — so you can see what this looks like in practice, not just in policy. Importantly, this isn’t just about compliance. A more joined-up approach can reduce duplication, improve supplier engagement, and ultimately unlock better commercial outcomes — from more transparent conversations to stronger, more resilient supplier relationships. This is for procurement professionals who want to move from intent to execution: - How do you prioritise? - How do you simplify? - How do you make this land with suppliers? - how do you help the people and the plant? There will be time for Q&A — so bring the challenges you’re facing, or drop them in the comments and I’ll build them into the discussion. 🔗 Register here (each WSPD session requires separate registration): https://lnkd.in/ejx-25QW Kathrin Decker Mélissa de Roquebrune Henrik Larsen Emilie Dooms #ActionOverNoise #SustainableProcurement #HumanRightsInSupplyChains #Decarbonisation #ProcurementLeadership #SupplyChainRisk #ResponsibleSourcing

Last December, we launched the 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 in #Malaysia 🇲🇾 as part of the AIM-Progress APAC Hub activities, delivered in collaboration with Embode and IOM Malaysia. The programme includes 𝟱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 and 𝟭 𝗶𝗻-𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 in Kuala Lumpur, titled “𝘽𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚: 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨.” It is kindly sponsored by Nestlé, Unilever, Kerry, The Hershey Company, Mondelēz International, The HEINEKEN Company, and Carlsberg Group. 📊A key component of the programme is the 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (M&E) baseline led by Quizrr, which helps assess supplier maturity on Human Rights Due Diligence (#HRDD), training experience, and knowledge levels to better understand and strengthen programme impact. So far, 132 (out of 324) suppliers completed it, primarily from the packaging & manufacturing, as well as processing and raw materials sectors. 💡Early insights show strong potential for impact: many suppliers already understand the basics of responsible sourcing but are looking for more practical guidance on how to strengthen management systems and programs to make them effective . The upcoming in-person event on 𝟮𝟴 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗿 aims to:  • Increase awareness of 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗥𝗗𝗗 and their implications for Malaysian businesses, particularly regarding responsible recruitment and migrant workers  • Share 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 to inspire action  • Foster 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 to address shared challenges and move HRDD forward in Malaysian supply chains Alongside the training programme, we will also host additional APAC Hub activities for AIM-Progress members, including:  • A 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, in collaboration with The North South Initiative, a Malaysian NGO, facilitated by Embode  • A 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 actively engaged with the #Ganapati Initiative - implemented by Embode - to learn from their experience 🤝 We look forward to engaging conversations and meaningful progress together. ❓90% of all employment in #India is informal. What does that mean for your supply chain? According to the 2024 International Labour Organization Report, 90% of all employment in India, representing around 440-490 million workers are informal workers, who are often vulnerable to precarious working conditions and low wages. The opaqueness that informality brings makes it difficult to implement effective human rights due diligence and protect workers for suppliers and brands. ✉️We invite AIM-Progress Members to join us in the second in a series of APAC hub's learning events facilitate by Aarti Kapoor, Embode to gain greater contextual understanding of labour governance in India. We will explore: 👉 The nature of informal work including the main challenges informal workers face 👉 The complexities of both interstate and intrastate migration 👉 Solutions and good practices 🎙️This panel session will feature: 💬 POOJA A., Development Professional on Responsible Business Conduct 💬 Ashif Shaikh, Founder and President of People’s Courage International 🔒 This session is open to AIM-Progress members only. If you have any question, please contact Yael Fattal Lariccia
