Google doesn’t reward “clean” SEO anymore. It rewards manipulation. Let me say this slowly so it sinks in. Most people think: → One business = One Google Business Profile → Be “honest” → Follow the rules Cool. Now let me tell you what actually ranks. GBP Asset Manipulation. Big players in ultra-competitive cities don’t run one profile. They run many. And each one is built like a weapon. Here’s what they really do: → They create multiple profiles for the same company → Change the name slightly → Change the focus slightly → Change the category All profiles use the same phone. All profiles point to the same company. But Google sees them as different brands. Why? Because the name + category sends different ranking signals. Example (real world): → Drain Cleaning Miami → focuses on drain service → Emergency Plumber Miami → focuses on urgent plumbing → Water Heater Repair Miami → focuses on heater jobs ↳ Same business. ↳ Different profiles. ↳ Different search visibility. ↳ Google loves it. Now here’s the part that makes people uncomfortable. Exact-match business names are still brokenly powerful. Competitors use names like: → Roof Repair Atlanta → AC Installation Chicago → Car Key Replacement Dallas Google doesn’t treat these as keywords. It treats them as the real business name. Result? ↳ Instant relevance. ↳ Instant authority. ↳ Instant rankings. Next layer… Different primary categories. Each profile uses a different main category: → Drainage Service → Plumber → Water Heater Repair Service Why? Because each category unlocks a different map pack. One real company. Multiple entry points. Maximum coverage. And here’s the wild part… Some businesses split each service into a new profile. Real case: A towing company in New York created: → Car Towing New York → Fuel Delivery New York → Jump Start New York → Tire Change New York → Lockout Service New York → Winch Out New York All of them ranked Top 3. Now compare that to “clean SEO”: One GBP. All services stuffed inside. Looks “professional.” Ranks for nothing. Because Google sees it as broad. Not focused. Not aggressive. The 1 writing mistake costing you clients. (I literally see this every day) You don't have a solid hook. 80% of how well your post does is directly related to how great of a hook you have. And the posts with weak hooks? They lose leads. Not because they go to your competition. But because they scroll past your post. You are literally unseen. To create a high-performing hook do this: Hook › • Tell the topic of the post right away • Don't play a bait and switch game • Literally "hook" your audience in with words • Should be the length of your finger (or less) Rehook › • Tell them why they should click "see more" • Invoke curiosity and literally "rehooks them" • Create an irresistible urge to stay on your post • Should be the length of your finger (or less) --- Hook example 1: She was unemployed for over 10 months. After 1 resume fix, we got her 7 interviews. Hook example 2: I studied over 100 viral LinkedIn posts. Here's the 1 thing they all got wrong: Hook example 3: "The best leaders are the most confident." I used to think the same thing. I was wrong. --- Pro tip: When possible, include both you and your audience. Easy way to do this? - Use "I" - Use "we" "us" "ya'll" or "you" TLDR version: Hook = Make it clear. (What’s the topic?) Rehook = Make it matter. (Why should I care?) Payoff = Deliver the goods. Great CTAs are: ✅ specific ✅ benefit-focused ✅ clear about next steps ✅ human Like these: “Get your free consultation” “See it in action” “Start growing today” A better CTA can wake your audience up — and make it easy for them to say yes. If the word you’re adding is already represented in the acronym, there’s no need to repeat it. Small details like this can make your writing more concise and professional.

"Best practices" nearly destroyed our #1 ranking We just solved a mystery that cost our client months of rankings. Here's what happened.
