At Wednesday's Xero TechTalks, amazing AI specialist Marek Poliks from LaunchDarkly highlighted how runtime control can improve the secure and flexible deployment of AI-powered features. He addressed common deployment challenges such as prompt updates, model switching, evaluations, and implementing guardrails. Marek underscored how LaunchDarkly's AI Configs platform facilitates safer experimentation, instant rollbacks, and configuration-driven releases.

Did you know you can send webhooks from Supabase when certain data changes? I didn't until recently, and it's very useful for keeping data in sync. All part of the fun of learning on the fly when doing a live co-build with a client. I recently offered to do a free project for the first person to reach out on LinkedIn, and recorded a video of the entire process. This was a simple n8n workflow to sync data from Supabase to Google Sheets, but we covered some interesting ground with QUERY formulas for Google Sheets and using the pg_net extension in Supabase to send REST API calls inside a database function. The result: Any time certain data changes in Supabase, it's instantly available in his Google Sheet which is connected to another system. Video link in the comments below!

Tall Emu has released it's automation feature that was parked while owned by MYOB. It's a no code, drag and drop interface that can run automated workflows based on record updates, schedules, webform submissions. Available now to all users. The first release is already super useful, but the scope of this tool is going to be increased significantly over the coming months based on how customers use it. In this sample, we're looking for overdue invoices - send a few follow up emails spread apart over a few days, then finally we put the customer on credit stop - add a note - and send the credit team an email to release the hounds on the delinquent payer. It's just one example of what you could do.

I thought I might start sharing some simple illustrations that could proactively inoculate you from climate change deniers' and delayers' misleading claims. Train journey home from #DrupalCampEngland after doing an epic 2 and a half hour long Drupal AI training session, we sit next to someone that tells me about some problem they have tried to solve with AI and other engineers have told her it can't be done. It was a perfect problem for AI. She thought that it must be perfect for AI as it's a clear repeatable task and she knows exactly the steps she would do to solve it. You just have to do it over and over and put it into essentially a task management system. In the remaining 30 mins of the journey we were able to take a real document found online, process it and build a first version of the working system in Drupal, all with a spotty train internet connection!
