  • “The travel experiences market is booming, and we’re at the center of it. We couldn’t be more excited.” — Matt Goldberg Last week at ALIS 2026, Tripadvisor CEO Matt Goldberg joined Expedia Group CEO Ariane Gorin, The Venetian Resort President & CEO Patrick Nichols, and U.S. Travel Association President & CEO Geoff Freeman to talk about what’s next for travel and tourism. The big takeaway: Experiences are now central to why people travel. From exploring local cuisines and hands-on classes to outdoor adventures that push limits, travelers are increasingly planning their trips (and budgets) around experiences that spark real connections with places, people, and their passions. During the panel, Matt highlighted the rapid growth of the experience economy, why Tripadvisor is investing deeply in this space, and how those who make these moments easy to access are the ones building lasting traveler loyalty. Explore how experiences are reshaping travel — and opportunities for hotels, destinations, and operators — in the 2026 Tripadvisor Trendcast. https://lnkd.in/gWHY9uuA

  • Over the past few weeks, teams across Tripadvisor Group’s global offices spent time volunteering with local organizations in the communities where we live and work. Employees worked alongside community partners to distribute food, assemble hygiene and school supply kits, and share gifts with families and children. Together, our teams donated more than 14,000 lbs of food and distributed hundreds of essential kits and in-kind gifts. This work was made possible by employees who gave their time, office leads who helped coordinate locally, and nonprofit partners who do this work year-round. We’re grateful to everyone involved for their care, coordination, and commitment to making a real, tangible impact in communities around the world. 💚

The next chapter for Tripadvisor Group is anchored in three priorities: strengthening our lead in experiences, evolving with the emerging AI-led travel landscape, and leaning into what has always set us apart — the trusted insight of hundreds of millions of travelers. That future is becoming clearer every day. Despite macro uncertainties, our experiences business continues to grow in both volume and profitability — a sign of strong ongoing demand and a meaningful opportunity ahead.  Today I also want to highlight another part of that future, and recognize the incredible teams driving it — groups led by Pepijn Rijvers, Kristen Dalton, Nathan Seitzman, Rahul Todkar, Krzysztof Marcisz, greg martin, and Kristin D. Their pace, ambition, and experimentation are bringing the AI dimension of our strategy into sharp focus, always centered on one goal: helping travelers make better decisions. First, we’ve started testing a new AI-native experience to help travelers plan smarter and turn inspiration into action. It’s built on something only Tripadvisor has: more than a billion traveler insights across millions of businesses, with deep connections to live availability and booking. Travelers can describe what they’re looking for and get instantly actionable recommendations. It’s early, but the opportunity is significant — and every interaction helps us learn more, refine, and improve the experience for travelers. Second, we know travelers plan everywhere — not just on our own platforms. That’s why we’re building in parallel with partners. Our new Tripadvisor app inside ChatGPT, including a map feature that lets travelers compare hotels directly within the conversation, is just one example. It shows how our content and data can travel with the traveler — powering better decisions, wherever planning happens (you can try it by typing “Tripadvisor” into ChatGPT). Search, discovery, and planning are changing quickly — and the end state is still taking shape. We believe we can lead the way – delivering value to travelers through the depth, truth, and actionability of our data. It’s comprehensive, it’s why we continue to be a trusted travel resource, and it’s uniquely useful wherever travelers choose to plan.

  • Tripadvisor employees traded in their passports for professional pointers with dozens of students for a career day in partnership with nonprofit STEMatch. As it turns out, navigating the tech world takes the same kind of focus as finding the best local experiences for your trip: you need good guidance, context, and a lot of curiosity. Our teams across IT, Engineering, Trust and Safety, and HR hosted students for a day of hands-on sessions, showing them how collaboration works, and connecting them with real world practitioners.
