Great discussions at Consult Australia #CollabX this week, with a strong focus on improving collaboration, consistency, and delivery across Defence estate programs.   A key theme emerging from the event was the need for greater alignment in how projects are planned and managed - particularly when it comes to scheduling and reporting.   In this context, Toby George (Defence Contractor Lead) provides a timely perspective on project scheduling, exploring the case for a Defence Estate Schedule Specification (DESS) - a practical approach to improving consistency in how project timelines are planned, updated, and reported.   Improved alignment and transparency in scheduling is a key step in supporting more effective delivery across complex programs. Mass Flux - The Why, the Where and the How formed the foundation of this year’s symposium presented by the Australasian Land & Groundwater Association (ALGA) Groundwater Fate and Transport Specialist Interest Group (SIG), bringing together more than 110 delegates from across Australia and internationally. The symposium explored how mass flux techniques can be better integrated into decision-making frameworks, remediation prioritisation, the holistic assessment of contaminant transport and loads, and a robust discussion on what is needed and/or missing from a regulatory perspective to support the wider application of the technique to risk assessments.
