Demand is rising for resilient, GPS-independent timing across broadcast, media, telecom and 5G networks—and this Proof of Concept is attracting strong industry interest! Techtel is proud to deliver Australia’s first Net Insight Zyntai Time Nodes deployment, validating precise, stable PTP timing across complex, real-world WAN environments. Led by Payam Safa, the project is testing deterministic timing over challenging IP networks, including legacy PTP-unaware infrastructure. As synchronisation demands increase, resilient timing is becoming critical for modern network design. We’ll share more insights as results emerge! #PTP #Timing #Synchronization #BroadcastTechnology #5G #NetworkInfrastructure #MediaTechnology #NetInsight #Techtel
Excited to share that we are delivering the very first Net Insight Zyntai Time Nodes to a high-profile client in Australia for an advanced Proof of Concept focused on resilient PTP transport across heterogeneous WAN networks. The objective of this PoC is to validate sub-microsecond timing accuracy while traversing legacy PTP-unaware routers and switches, a challenging real-world scenario increasingly relevant for both 5G synchronization and professional media transport infrastructures. Net Insight’s Zyntai platform has already demonstrated strong international references in environments affected by GNSS/GPS instability and vulnerability, proving that highly accurate and stable timing distribution can be achieved without relying exclusively on satellite-based synchronization. Now it is time to validate those capabilities within Australian network conditions. The upcoming months will involve extensive lab work, packet analysis, timing measurements, network modelling, and a lot of engineering fun as we push the boundaries of deterministic timing over complex IP infrastructures. Looking forward to sharing the results and technical findings soon.
