  • Australia’s quantum sector continues to gain momentum, and Tech Central local, Q-CTRL is leading from the front. Congratulations to Q-CTRL, who have secured a share of $7.2 million through the Advanced Strategic Capability Accelerator (ASCA) to develop next-generation undersea navigation systems that function without GPS. Q-CTRL is accelerating the shift of quantum sensing from research to real-world deployment, building on the success of recent at-sea trials. As autonomous platforms like underwater drones take on increasingly mission-critical roles, accurate navigation in GPS-denied environments is no longer just a technical hurdle, it’s a strategic opportunity. It’s no surprise then to see the Q-CTRL team receiving global recognition for its technology. Last week they were named as one of Time Magazine's 10 Most Influential New Frontier Companies in the world. This is quantum technology moving beyond theory and into operational advantage, and Q-CTRL is firmly at the forefront!
