We are a product-led software company making creative tools that amplify human creativity.

About us

We’ve been developing creative tools for iPad and iPhone since 2011. Our apps, Procreate, Procreate Dreams, and Procreate Pocket, have reached and stayed at #1 in Apple’s App Store for over eight years. Independently owned, based in a beautiful pocket of Australia, we provide engineers the creative room to do quality and challenging work they can be proud of — work that sees the light of day, used by millions. This means making long-term bets on technology and obsessively optimising performance, so our apps are satisfying to develop for and a pleasure to use. Our apps make a real-world impact — we hear this from people all the time. Whether it’s from exploring creativity for the joy of it, making a living, or producing celebrated artwork, our success is driven by word of mouth, not chasing sales funnels. People buy them because they enjoy them, and they feel respected by the tech. We keep it simple and let performance and intuitiveness drive the direction of the apps. We get there through our unique approach to working together — small teams, talking to each other, never stopping at “good enough”. We have an exciting and ambitious roadmap, and looking for more talent. If you’d like to join a company where you’ll be backed by a technical leadership that understands and is active on the tools alongside you, please reach out.

We were honoured to be part of Apple’s 50th anniversary celebrations in Sydney last night. Procreate was the app of choice for Australian artists of every level when they lit up the Sydney Opera House as part of the festivities. Over our 15 years as a company, Apple has been an incredible and supportive partner, and last night was a celebration of our shared belief in empowering human creativity through the world’s most powerful creative tools. Congratulations to the entire Apple team on 50 years—we are thrilled to be a part of such a huge milestone. Artwork created by Phoebe Paradise. #Procreate

We recently released a fresh, new look for Procreate. It was a massive effort for our design, engineering and testing teams, who worked together in harmony to ensure Procreate feels right at home on iPadOS 26. Inspired by Apple’s Liquid Glass, we’ve put our own spin on the design language so that it’s still the Procreate people know and love. Now we’re locked in, taking what we’ve learned to Procreate Dreams 2 so it gets a shiny new look too. Interested in customising your iPadOS 26 experience? We’ve put together a helpful guide here: https://procre.at/ipados26

Too often, the tech sector chases trends rather than building long-term value for its user base. Trends are shiny and exciting, but for us, they’re noise. Being independently owned gives us the freedom to make long-term bets on technology. We follow our intuition, listen to our users, and invest heavily in a foundation of technology — knowing the payoff will come later. We’re looking for more engineers to help realise our ambitious and exciting roadmap. Learn more → procreate.com/careers
