Great to host and present today in Aberdeen on a topic that’s rapidly moving up the agenda for HR leaders: pay transparency. What stood out most? This isn’t a future challenge, it’s already reshaping how employees think about fairness, trust and leadership. A few reflections from the session: • Transparency doesn’t create problems, it reveals them • What damages trust isn’t complexity, it’s inconsistency • Transparency is no longer just what organisations say, it’s what employees believe The panel discussion (huge thanks to Mark Dalgarno, Sarah Downs (Dip IoD) and Faye Barron (FCIPD)) reinforced that this is bigger than HR, it’s about leadership capability, joined-up talent strategy, and the ability to explain decisions credibly.
