Last week's inaugural Physical AI Meetup brought together 60 people from across Melbourne's Physical AI ecosystem into one space. Builders, researchers, leaders and problem solvers all including…surprise guest Adam P. showcasing Stef the spider 2.0 Three things that came up that we're still thinking about: 1. Jon Tinberg’s sharing real use cases across the AI layer cake from the Data Centre to the edge. 2. NVIDIA GTC in San Jose is one of the best tech events on the planet, David Lennox’s advice is get in early, find your tribe and go for it. 3. I’m an Innovator get me outta here! - bring the energy landed in Natural Velocity last week. A vibrant finale growing AUS - UK Innovation relationships in Energy and AI with Energy Systems Catapult and EnergyLab. The day commenced with an Innovating to Net Zero keynote by Jon Saltmarsh, Chief Technology Officer, Energy Systems Catapult UK. Benjy Lee hosted a deep dive on energy regulation and policy across Australia including insights from multiple key players across the National Energy Market (NEM) featuring energy legends Andrew Dillon, Charlotte Eddy, and Chris L. Next our very own ‘Noodles’ hosted an Innovation panel including Megan Fisher, Rosetta Mills, Dominic Lindsay, Alan Wong. Diving into industry collaboration opportunities, material reduction in AI power consumption used on the edge, International success and innovating for sector-wide adoption. Rapid fire founder pitches followed from Leo Alder of AIM Group (UK) and Andrew Ballard of SpatioTemporal (AU) before a Natural Velocity tour, Dreamscape experience and some unique drop bear survival skills - that any UK visitor needs to be aware of! International innovation collaboration opportunities like this are rare and so incredibly valuable. Exchanging #experiences and #insights to help innovators solve real problems for a thriving future.
