This month marks four years since the floods that devastated Lismore. To coincide with this anniversary, we are hosting a screening of FLOODLAND tonight at Victorian Parliament House. With more public screenings in the weeks to come. FLOODLAND documents the aftermath of the Lismore floods and the community-led responses that emerged in the face of profound loss and displacement. In light of the recent report from the Victorian Government’s Resilience Inquiry, we are calling on the government to establish a Victorian Climate Adaptation Fund — to ensure organisations on the ground are properly resourced to prepare for and respond to future climate disasters. Public cinema screenings: 22 February — Sydney, Dendy Newtown 25 February — Melbourne, Cinema Nova 28 February & 1 March — Newcastle, Five Star Cinemas Further dates and locations will be announced. For session times and tickets, visit www.floodland.com.au. #floodlandfilm #climatedisasters #climateadaptation
