📣📣 Volume Up For This One! 📣📣 Day 2 at the Institution of Surveyors NSW (ISNSW) Annual Conference began with a real suprise for the conference delegates, as former ISNSW President Bob Harrison OAM shared an experience of a particularly complex cadastral survey during his talk ‘Can you trust Six Maps?’. During Bob’s talk he explained how his initial assumptions of how the job would be resolved went south, along with any idea of making a buck on this fixed price quoted job… Long story short, Bob explained to the audience how he used the capability of an Emlid #GNSS #RTK setup to save him from potentially losing the shirt off his back! Base Shift is a handy feature we use if we need to place our Emlid GNSS base station in a location that is not over a known point. In this example - we want to have our base station in an elevated location to improve the distribution of corrections. Unfortunately, the Permanent Survey Marks (PSM's) are located in a valley, so we use Base Shift to get our elevated base working. https://postly.app/4J58
