Easing the financial burden of separation and estate administration, and enabling lawyers to do their best work.
About us
We’re a passionate team of lawyers, technologists and finance specialists who have come together to create Australia's only dedicated family law finance provider. By providing a flexible line of credit to pay legal bills and disbursements, we ease the financial burden of separation and enable fairer financial outcomes. For our family law firm partners, we enable them to get paid on time and focus on doing their work for their clients. Traditional lenders focus on income, credit score and employment history and miss the bigger picture. Instead, we focus on the individual client, their unique circumstances and the nature of their legal entitlement.

Over the past two days at the Disrupting Traditions Conference hosted by Family Law Education Network and JustFund, I’ve walked away with something more than just insights — a renewed sense of purpose. With more than 400 professionals across family law, wills and estates, and the judiciary in attendance, including reflections from Justice Tom Altobelli, there was something distinctly powerful about this space. Not just the calibre of speakers, but the honesty in the room — conversations that did not shy away from the realities of family law, coercive control, and the lived experiences of children and families navigating these systems. As Director of Cherished Connections - Children’s Contact Service, this work is not theoretical for us. We operate where court orders meet real-world behaviour — often in complex, high-risk family dynamics where maintaining a child-focused lens is both critical and challenging. We hold space for children and families to remain connected in meaningful ways, without being drawn into family conflict, while staying firmly grounded in safety and the best interests of the child. What stood out most was the shared commitment across professionals — lawyers, practitioners, judicial officers, and sector leaders — to do better, to collaborate more effectively, and to keep children at the centre of every decision. It was incredibly encouraging to connect with so many thoughtful professionals who were genuinely interested in the work we do at Cherished Connections, and in how services like ours can contribute meaningfully to safer, more responsive outcomes for families. A special thank you to Amanda Little and to the many speakers who created space for these important conversations. Leaving inspired, a little tired, but more certain than ever that when we stay connected, informed, and aligned in purpose, we are stronger, better equipped, and far more impactful in the lives of the families we serve. #FamilyLaw #ChildSafety #CoerciveControl #TraumaInformed #ChildFocused #ProfessionalDevelopment #SupervisedContact
