We are very proud to once again be supporting the DrupalSouth Splash Awards, this time brining it back to Wellington where it all started. When we talk to previous participants and winners we consistently hear: - It helps agencies win work and gain more recognition in the marketplace when they can differentiate themselves with their trophies - It helps team members feel recognised and appreciated by giving them a chance to showcase their talents to their peers - It rewards clients by giving them a great story to take back to their organisation The Community Awards will also take place again this year, giving outstanding contributors to Drupal from Australia and New Zealand the recognition they deserve as well. Don't ever let anyone tell you Drupal isn't built for scale. Last month we served over 4 billion hits for a single customer, with a peak of just over 1.63 million hits per minute (or 22k per second!). Those are eye watering numbers and they exceeded our expected peak of "just" 550k hits per minute. We were able to achieve this with an overall 99.9993% cache hit rate, thanks to a lot of careful configuration of cache timers and synthetic responses through our incredible partnership with Fastly. Best of all, even though they received 4 times more traffic than forecasted, our customer doesn't get punished for their success because we bill on capacity, not page views and the high cache hit rate meant no extra capacity was needed. Drupal is simply the most cost-effective and flexible CMS for high-traffic, high-exposure enterprise sites, and we love hosting it.

The results are in.  This year’s Drupal Developer Survey brought together insights from 753 developers across 58 countries. It's great to see stronger engagement this year compared to 2024, with more voices shaping the picture of how Drupal is built today. A milestone moment for Drupal in Japan! On July 11, Tokyo hosted its first-ever Drupal Contribution Day—bringing together developers, translators, and open web advocates from across the country to contribute to the global Drupal project. Ironstar was proud to be part of this historic day. Our very own Jimmy Cann delivered the First Time Contributors Workshop in Japanese, helping break down barriers for newcomers and empowering participants to make meaningful contributions - many for the very first time. From translation efforts and Metatag fixes to CKEditor testing and core enhancements, the energy and commitment on the day were incredible.
