Discovering the hidden Universe through Radio Astronomy.

About us

The International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) discovers the hidden Universe through world-class astronomical research. We develop tools, techniques and skills to study our Universe, and specialise in translating and applying those capabilities beyond astronomy. Based in Perth, Western Australia, ICRAR launched in 2009 as an equal joint venture between Curtin University and The University of Western Australia, with funding from the West Australian State Government. Originally conceived to support the growth of the SKA project in Australia, we've expanded our work to included science, engineering, computing, community and industry partners throughout Australia and the world. Find out more about what we do at icrar.org.
