About us
Hockey Victoria (HV) Inc. is the peak governing body for the sport of hockey in Victoria. The association’s role is to service the 150 clubs and associations (85 Regional & 65 Metropolitan), and the 20,000 plus playing members. HV’s key service areas include club development, elite performance and athlete development, competitions & events management, game development, and membership services. The organisation strives to remain community relevant by constantly developing innovative programs and initiatives. Hockey Victoria prides itself on being the family game; safe, welcoming and inclusive sport for all Victorian’s. This is achieved via its strong focus on the safe playing and spectator environments, and advocacy for Women’s sport, gender diversity and providing participation opportunities for people of CALD and Indigenous backgrounds, and people with a disability.

We're proud to share the outstanding achievements of our High Performance program. 👏 2025 has already seen: ▫️ U16 Boys Gold & Girls Bronze at Nationals including 6 Boys and 5 Girls who have been nationally identified ▫️ 5 athletes selected in the Kookaburras, 3 in the Development Squad and 3 in the Burras U21s teams ▫️ 1 athlete selected in the Hockeyroos, 3 in the Development squad and 5 in the Jillaroos U21s teams ▫️ 4 Victorian/HC Melbourne athletes starred in the Hockey India League ▫️ 7 medals at the Australian Indoor Championships This follows a phenomenal 2024, where 25 of the 46 Victorian State Teams competing in National Championships won medals and the HC Melbourne Men won the Hockey One Premiership.🏆

Hockey Victoria has received a significant boost in its efforts to foster greater inclusion, securing a grant through the Victorian Government's Study Melbourne Inclusion Project (SMIP).
