🚨 WARNING: this post will make you hungry! 😋 Last week, our R&D team, together with some enthusiastic helpers, were making Easter buns for our Sydney teams - in the most DELICIOUS flavours! The annual Easter Bun baking campaign has been a long-standing tradition at Goodman Fielder, and this year the team did not dissapoint. In one day they baked 320 packs of Easter buns, with new flavour varieties: Pandan & Coconut, Banoffee, Chocolate and Traditional (don't say you weren't warned - SO YUM 👩🏽🍳🍫) What makes it even more amazing is that all the proceeds of each bun sold has gone to Rev. Bill Crews Foundation, helping support those in need. International Women's Day (IWD) has been celebrated in Australia for nearly a century, with the first events taking place in 1928. With our own history starting in 1909, at Goodman Fielder, we recognise and celebrate the contribution of every woman who was, is and will be part of our organisation. 💜 This week, across our sites, we came together to pause, reflect and have genuine conversations about how we can continue to progress towards greater gender equity. Whether through everyday small actions or big, bold impacts, we’re committed to listening, taking action and driving change Earlier in the week at our Quarterly Town Hall we heard from Ellie Jabrayilova, Alanna Reidy and Ashleigh Dunk as part of a session on #genderequity. From data & insights, through to more inclusive talent attraction, we also saw the actions being taken across our front-line workforce to listen, respond and co-create meaningful action towards gender equity. We were also priveleged to hear Marion Noakes share her personal experience across her career journey; with a candid and honest reflection of the opportunities, choices and challenges she has faced along the way. What happens when you combine our very own in-house chef Brinsley Pereira, a selection of the very best Goodman Fielder products, a couple of kids and around 40 of our team across Zoom for a LIVE festive cooking show? 👨🏽🍳🥳 The answer...chaotic and delicious magic 🎄 Now in it's second year, we were thrilled to put on our GF End of Year cooking show. Members of our team, and their families, can either watch (and wish they could reach through the screen and taste the food), OR for the brave-hearted foodies, they can attempt to cook along in time with the chef... Despite the patchy camera-work, and some issues with getting the sound right, we battled along with laughter and loads of encouragement to make the worlds MOST delicious Christmas-inspired menu... 😋 🥩Cherry glazed bbq meat with festive greens and ranch dressing 🥗 Peach & nectarine macadamia nut salad 🥧 Decorative Pampas Christmas ornaments Get in touch if you want us to share the recipes... just comment below and we'll aim to get it to you! Have you ever considered retraining mid-career? This year, Diwali was celebrated with colour and creativity across Goodman Fielder Australia! At our bakery in Clayton, the team transformed the site with vibrant decorations and a feast of traditional Indian foods, creating the opportunity to share stories and celebrate together over a delicious meal. A massive shout out to Richesh Kolhar and Mukesh Pahwa for all your hard work in bringing the Diwali celebration to life! 🙏🏽💛 Meanwhile, in our Head Office in Sydney, our Diwali celebration was a spectacular showcase of colour, dancing topped off with an amazing array of authentic (and delicious) cuisine. An absolute highlight was our talented team performing a traditional Indian dance; it was so joyful, and created a unique opportunity for everyone to come together and play a part in an impotant cultural experience. The energy was infectious (and the room packed) as colleagues from all backgrounds joined in, reflecting the many cultures that we have across the #GFteam. 💃🏽🕺🏽 One of our team members commented that, “Getting together for Diwali reminded me how much we learn from each other. Sharing food, dance, and laughter made it easy to connect—not just as coworkers, but as people.”💖 Some special mentions - team chef Brinsley Pereira cooked up a delicious Biriyani - using our very own #Fortune brand rice and products. 🍚🍛👩🏽🍳 Our dancing group - Malika Mohan, Ellie Jabrayilova, Vikram Mohindra, Amit Bharti, Gayathri Chunduru and Lakshmi Thota - what an amazing display you created! Last week, our team came together to recognise #RUOKDay2025 – a powerful reminder that a single conversation can be a lifeline and a chance to change someone's life. 💛🖤 At Goodman Fielder, more than half of our team have caring responsibilities for children and/or adults. This means that many of us carry an invisible mental load alongside our work. In alignment with R U OK? Day, we chose to focus on the power of connection and conversation in the face of that load – and in moments of mental health challenge or crisis. 🌟 We set up Conversation Corners at every location, with prompts, vital resources and mindlfulness activities. 🌟 We hosted an R U OK? Day session attended by more than 400 of our people in person and online. 🌟 We’re also expanding our network of Mental Health First Aiders to make support more visible and accessible. All of this is part of our ongoing commitment to prioritising the psychosocial, mental and physical health and wellbeing of our people.
