This end-of-financial year, we are seeking support for Solid Ground. For nearly a decade, Solid Ground has placed practicing First Nations artists in year-long school residencies, providing transformational education and employment pathways for First Nations youth. But the reality is stark: Only 59% of First Nations students stay in school until year 12, compared with 85% for other students. A culturally safe environment can change that. Through mentoring, artistic projects, and meaningful career pathways, Solid Ground helps young people connect with their identity, build confidence, and stay engaged in education. Solid Ground has already: ✅Mentored over 1,000 First Nations young people ✅Provided 52 paid internships ✅Placed 41 Artists in year-long school residencies Here’s how you can help: - Share this post and our campaign video to your internal networks - Make a donation: https://lnkd.in/gVJPVesd Every dollar donated helps shape a future where First Nations youth can thrive in education and the arts. For any more information, reach out to us directly philanthropy@carriageworks.com.au

We’re still buzzing from an incredible Summer season of gigs, parties and events which would not have been the same without our new Major Partner Diageo. From the interactive #Smirnoff Glow Up parlour during our DJ lineup, to enjoying a Casamigos Tequila margarita between sets, or sipping a Mr Black Spirits espresso martini and dancing the night away at our free Summer Moves events, Diageo’s purpose of “celebrating life, every day, everywhere” couldn’t align more perfectly with what we do at Carriageworks.

Vivid Sydney at Carriageworks is back and set to be huge in 2025. From Mall Grab’s electrifying homecoming to Black Star’s legendary reunion, from Ngaiire’s bold new vision to Kamasi Washington’s mind-blowing jazz mastery and so much more, this lineup is stacked with groundbreaking home-grown and international talent. We’re so proud to be bringing this genre-hopping, boundary-pushing program to life, lighting up our spaces with the best in music, culture, and food. Huge thanks to Backseat Mafia for the write-up. To borrow a phrase, "Carriageworks is serving one of Vivid’s most exciting lineups yet." We couldn't agree more!

🌟🎪What an incredible talent Lucia Richardson is! At just 17, this inspiring Yamatji performer is captivating audiences with her breathtaking contortionism and vibrant stage presence. Right now, Lucia is lighting up Carriageworks in the world premiere of Live and Famous (final shows this weekend 😉). This high-energy cabaret, presented in the iconic Famous Spiegeltent within our expansive Bay 17, showcases awe-inspiring tricks, flips, and the dynamic creativity of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus. We’re so proud to host this spectacular production and celebrate performers like Lucia, who bring their passion and personality to the stage. Congratulations to Lucia and the entire Live and Famous team for delivering an unforgettable show! In a recent chat with National Indigenous Television (NITV), Lucia shared her excitement about Live and Famous, the thrill of expressing her personality on stage, and her dream of one day performing with Cirque du Soleil – all while inspiring the next generation of First Nations circus stars. 🎟️ https://lnkd.in/gb9vBhVn
