✨BUILDING ENGINEERING GIVES BACK DURING NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK 2026✨ 🧡 This National Volunteer Week, and under this year’s theme ‘Your Year to Volunteer’, our Building Engineering team was proud to continue our partnership with The DV Collective and spend time contributing to an initiative that delivered immediate and meaningful support to women and children impacted by domestic and family violence. 📦 Together, our team helped sort and pack 300 essential hygiene care packs filled with donated everyday essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser and toothbrushes, helping provide immediate support to women and families fleeing domestic violence. 🤝 Beyond packing care kits, the session had a meaningful impact on our team. Volunteering days like this demonstrate how collective action can create immediate and meaningful change. It was a rewarding experience for our team to contribute to something so tangible and to see firsthand how small actions can have a significant impact on people during incredibly difficult times. ✨ Behind every care pack is practical support, dignity and care for someone navigating the impacts of domestic and family violence. These packs will support women and children accessing services through Nova for Women and Children, Jenny's Place Domestic Violence & Homelessness Support, Port Stephens Refuge and Warlga Ngurra Incorporated. 🙌 A huge thank you to our Building Engineering team members who took the time to participate and give back. It was incredibly rewarding to contribute to something with such a direct and tangible impact. 👏 Thank you to The DV Collective for creating opportunities for businesses and communities to come together and create positive change. #buildingengineering #nationalvolunteerweek #youryeartovolunteer #dvcollective #communityimpact #givingback Read more: https://lnkd.in/gqrstigm Kylie Johanson | Luana Knight | Prudence Midgley (née Brew) Chris Doufas | Tom Basel | David Waters | David Hunter | Rachel Richter | Melody Li

✨ROOFTOP TERRACE TRANSFORMATION COMPLETED AT 380 ST KILDA ROAD✨ 🌇Building Engineering is proud to have delivered the newly completed Level 8 rooftop terrace at 380 St Kilda Road, marking the next chapter of works at this landmark Mirvac asset. 🏗️This rooftop upgrade builds on the successful completion of the broader 380 St Kilda Road redevelopment we delivered in 2024, a complex project completed across three separable portions. ✨BUILDING MOMENTUM AT HARKNESS MEMORIAL PARK✨ 🏗️ Building Engineering is proud to share the latest progress on Stage One of the Harkness Memorial Park project, a significant development for Melbourne’s rapidly growing western region. 🌿 Located in Melton West, this landmark project for The Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust will deliver a contemporary memorial park designed to meet the community's needs for generations to come. The project will provide new burial areas, landscaped parkland, and key buildings including the Ceremonial Building and Maintenance Facilities. 🚧 This is a large-scale civil project, with works spanning extensive earthworks, major infrastructure, and essential services. As the site continues to evolve, the scale of the development is becoming increasingly evident. ⚙️ Strong progress is being made across multiple fronts on-site. Piling and beam works are well underway, with approximately 600 of the 1,850 piles now complete, marking around one-third of this critical phase. Additional beam crews have been mobilised to maintain momentum and support the continued acceleration of works. 🛣️ Roadworks are taking shape, with capping layers now complete and the first crushed rock layer about 70% finished, helping define the park's future layout. 🏗️ Meanwhile, progress is continuing behind the scenes, with structural steel for the Ceremonial Building and Maintenance Facility currently in manufacture and scheduled for delivery to the site later this month. 👏 It’s been a fantastic effort from the team and our project partners to reach this point, and the scale and vision of the project is really starting to come to life. 🚀 With momentum building across the site, we look forward to continuing this progress and delivering Stage One of Harkness Memorial Park in 2027. ✨BEYOND THE BUILD: FROM SITE TO CLASSROOM, INSPIRING FUTURE PATHWAYS✨ 👷♀️ Building Engineering is proud to once again partner with St Columba's College, Essendon as part of their Project-Based Learning Week, delivering an engaging and hands-on experience that brings the construction industry to life. 🏫 This year, students were welcomed to one of our live construction projects, where they had the opportunity to explore the multi-storey project currently under construction. 👥 Leading the session was our team, including Rachel Richter, Head of Marketing, Jake Lewis, Project Manager, Jayda Balas, Graduate, and Verity Udovicich, Bid Coordinator and proud St Columba’s College alumni. Verity’s involvement added a meaningful full-circle moment, showcasing the pathways from student to industry professional. 🧠 The visit extended beyond a traditional site tour, forming the foundation of a real-world design challenge. Students were tasked with designing their own classroom space, working within a defined budget and selecting key elements such as finishes, furniture, lighting, and layout. 📐 The brief encouraged students to think like a construction team, combining creativity with practical decision-making, cost planning, and teamwork. 🙌 The feedback from St Columba’s College has been fantastic, with strong engagement from students and a clear enthusiasm for the experience and the opportunities within the construction industry. 🔜 We’re looking forward to the next stage of the program, where our team will attend St Columba’s College to see the students present their designs.
