The EO Industry Has a Commercial Infrastructure Problem 🛰️ More satellites are launching. Revisit rates are increasing. Supply is growing. But commercial infrastructure has not evolved at the same speed. Here are some key problems the industry is facing: 1. Capacity Does Not Equal Revenue: More supply does not automatically convert to more sales. Manual quoting and bespoke contracts cap growth before it scales. 2. Sales Velocity Is Limited by Ops: Pricing lives in spreadsheets. Orders move through email. Every deal pulls operations into the loop. Growth increases internal friction. 3. Buyers Expect Product. Operators Deliver Process: Enterprise customers expect structured SKUs, instant pricing, and predictable fulfilment. Most operators still run custom workflows. This is not a demand problem. It is a commercial infrastructure problem. That is where Sales Engine matters. Arlula's Sales Engine enables: 💸 Structured pricing linked to real inventory 💻 Productised offerings instead of bespoke quotes 🌏 Archive and tasking in one unified workflow 📡 Automated order to delivery processes 📈 An operator admin layer that reduces sales to ops friction As constellations scale, commercial systems must scale with them. Capacity without commercial infrastructure creates operational drag. Capacity with Sales Engine creates repeatable revenue. >>> https://lnkd.in/gYZBhCEQ #EarthObservation #SatelliteOperators #SalesEngine #SpaceTech #DataInfrastructure #Geospatial

About us
Arlula provides the infrastructure and single access point that allows users to procure, manage and process satellite imagery at scale. Founded in 2018, Arlula aims to connect the value of Earth observation data from orbit to people and businesses on the ground. We have partnered with commercial and Government satellite operators, research institutions and technology companies to create the infrastructure that fuels the growth of the EO industry. GEOSTACK Traditionally, gaining access to imagery satellites and the data sets they produce has been costly and time consuming. Lengthy negotiation processes and a general lack of transparency in the industry have led to a low rate of commercial adoption of the technology. Our API's streamline the process of searching, ordering and managing satellite data. Our web based approach makes it easy to integrate satellite imagery and spatial data into applications, workflows and decision making processes. By aggregating a global network of satellite imagery suppliers through a single cloud based access point, Arlula eliminates the need for multiple technical integration points, legals, business contracts, pricing, payment models and automation.

Scaling EO revenue takes more than adding capacity. Sales Engine gives operators and resellers a white-labelled shopfront connected directly to tasking and fulfilment: 🌏 Customers can search archive, request tasking and place orders through a clear, structured workflow. 🛰️ Operators retain control over pricing, approvals and performance. Your EO sales process isn’t the bottleneck. Your data layer is. Automating pricing and orders is only half the equation. If every dataset arrives in a different format or schema, delivery slows, ops steps in manually, and scale breaks. That’s why Sales Engine + Data Normalization Pipeline work better together. Sales Engine digitises quoting, ordering, and tasking. Data Normalization Pipeline standardises multi-supplier EO data and runs cloud QA automatically. Together, they turn EO into a scalable product business. 👉 Explore how it works: arlula.com/sales-engine/ #earthobservation #datainfrastructure #spaceeconomy #satellites

🔥 Is bushfire season now Australia’s new normal? It is a reality agencies must operate in today. Across every fire season, local, state, and federal agencies are working to answer urgent questions. Where is the fire now. Where will it move next. Who needs to act immediately. Satellite data already provides much of this visibility. The real challenge is not access to imagery. It is the friction in how data is requested, approved, secured, and delivered across government systems. Today, that friction shows up as: • Separate data contracts and suppliers across agencies • Different security and sovereignty environments • Manual tasking and ordering workflows • Delays moving data between departments and operational systems When minutes matter, these process barriers become operational risk. At Arlula, we are building the digital infrastructure layer that cuts through this red tape. A shared platform that allows government teams to request satellite data through a single interface, automate feasibility and tasking, enforce security requirements, and deliver data directly into existing response systems. The objective is straightforward. Faster access to trusted data. Better coordination across jurisdictions. More timely decisions to protect communities and critical infrastructure. Bushfire response will always rely on expert teams on the ground. But the data backbone supporting them should be automated, secure, and built for real-time operations. 🛰️ 🚀 Why the next space race is about data, not rockets Launch used to be the constraint, It largely is not anymore. Satellites are in orbit. Sensors are improving. Data volumes are growing fast. The harder problem now is selling Earth observation data at scale. Many operators still run sales through manual quotes, bespoke contracts, and ad hoc fulfilment. That works for a handful of customers. It does not scale to global, repeatable, digital data products. The next phase of the space economy will favour companies that treat EO data as a product business, not a project business. That means making data: ✅ Discoverable ✅ Priced clearly ✅ Orderable online ✅ Connected directly to tasking and delivery systems At Arlula, we built the Sales Engine to support exactly this shift. It gives operators a digital layer to publish products, automate quoting, accept orders, and link sales directly to operations. If you are working through similar commercial scaling challenges, this is a practical place to start >>> https://lnkd.in/gYZBhCEQ #space #earthobservation #datainfrastructure #commercialspace #EODI #satellites

🚀 2026 is when AI in space grows up. Not because the models got smarter but because the infrastructure did. Most GeoAI still stalls before it starts: messy formats, inconsistent metadata, manual prep. That’s not innovation. That’s friction. Arlula’s Data Normalisation Pipeline removes it. By standardising EO data at scale, it lets teams move faster from data access to deployment and get AI products into market without rebuilding pipelines every time. This is a sign of a maturing space sector 👇 • Less bespoke tooling • More shared infrastructure • Faster commercialisation of AI AI creates the opportunity. Infrastructure determines who wins. #ICYMI: How satellite operators scale revenue in 2026 Manual sales workflows do not scale. As satellite capacity grows, fragmented portals and manual order handling slow revenue and increase risk. That is exactly what the Arlula Sales Engine is built to fix. What the Sales Engine delivers: ✅ Automated EO archive and tasking sales ✅ White-label storefronts that keep customer relationships direct ✅ End-to-end ordering, payment, and fulfilment ✅ Support for both self-serve and bespoke requests ✅ Admin dashboards that remove operational drag Scale faster. Maximise revenue. Minimise overhead. For operators planning 2026, automation is no longer optional. Read more here >> https://lnkd.in/gCCspdeh

As we wrap up the year, one thing is clear: Earth observation doesn’t scale without the right infrastructure. In 2025, we saw growing demand for faster tasking, automated fulfilment, secure data access, and systems that work across operators, missions, and use cases. At Arlula, we’ve been focused on building the backbone that makes this possible. Software that connects satellites, data, and teams without friction. Looking ahead to 2026, our focus is on helping operators, governments, and enterprises move beyond portals and point solutions, and toward scalable, secure data operations. Thank you to our partners, customers, and the wider EO community for the conversations, challenges, and momentum this year. If EO data is critical to your mission, the infrastructure behind it matters.
